The topic is wrong to begin with...Kajol is much more junior to Madhuri in terms of her debut.

The question shd be : Sridevi or Madhuri, who is more iconic?

I don't think the topic is wrong...Both of them are good actresses and popular and considered seniors in the industry...Comparing Alia with Madhuri or Kajol may not be appropriate though...But after 20 years even Alia can be compared with Madhuri...Isn't that how comparisons work?

Nope, by that logic, Madhubala and Nargis can be compared to Madhuri and Sridevi too, as to who were more iconic?

The problem lies in the fact that with age and time, the older actors/ actresses get a legendary status which cannot be matched by the next lot, however good they maybe.

Kajol is 7 yrs younger than Madhuri which is the same age gap between DP and Alia ...will you put DP and Alia in same category? Alia is much more junior to DP careerwise.

Madhuri is THE most iconic actress in hindi movies..She was one of the 1st Bollywood stars to be featured in Times magazine..She was a rage like no other

However if you ask me, I feel Kajol is much better as an actress

My question is, why not?

You cannot while they are still acting and have a lot to prove...Both Deepika and Alia are still current and are a work in progress...So comparing them is not easy, though some still do and it is up to them...

But comparing all the iconic actresses senior actresses is just fine, I think...Only because their body of work is already complete...Kajol may be still working, and so is Madhuri...but their majority of work is already done...So its easy to compare them...

Madhuri got the Dhak Dhak Girl of bollywood title ..she is a great dancer and a good actress ...kajol is known for her bubbly role and romance with SRK ...
