Its very much possible. tamasha's chances have brightened with PRDP successfully repelling audiences.( and i am not talking only about reviews, even audiences in theatre I watched it in were frustrated)

I guess Tamasha will be a hit, but DP will get most of the credit for that and it will not make much a difference to RK's career .. something similar to what happened with YJHD.

Even Ranbir knows that he is close to becoming a gone case .. that is why he has gone through deaddiction and given up smoking and drugs. He is trying to look better and be awake to act well. With DP doing so well and RK's films flopping, his ego has taken a hit. He is trying hard to get back to success, like signing safer films like KJo's next etc., instead of experimenting more (which was what he said he has been doing because that's what he wants to do).

But I doubt he can achieve what he wants to or was expected to. When he came in the industry initially, it was on Shahid who was his competition and honestly, Shahid has never been much of a competition. But now with Varun, Sid, ARK, Ranveer, Sushant etc. also on the scene, RK's offers are only dwindling and with that the number of opportunities available to prove himself are going down.

But if AB Jr. and KKK can survive so many years just because of their pedigree, no one can stop RK from going the same route. He will keep getting offers but it will never be the same again. He isn't going to be the superstar everyone expected him to be. He had the opportunity available but guess he lost it all too easily.

Also why Deepika and Ranbir are using their past relationship to promote the movie so much ? Movie to vaise bhi flop hai, aaj likhwa lo.

More than his failure, I think he is troubled by Deepika's success. We have to wait for Deepika's films to flop to get the old cheerful Ranbir back.

We have usually seen jealousy/competition between females or rivalry amongst male leads. But here we have male and female leads competing against each other, like in other professions 😆.
