This Barkha Dutt is getting good dose on Twitter for her comment on KarwaChauth and she called for it... agreed with Raveena here...

I am with Raveena here. Traditions exist in every community. People are free to follow the customs they believe in as long as they are not harming anyone else.

I do find karwachaut very regressive! Especially the part when the woman touches her husband's feet! Eeeks! I will only fast for my husband if he does it with me! And there is nowhere in living hell I am touching his feet!

there is nothing regressive about KC! to each his own...perhaps it has something to do with a thing called "LOVE"?

My in-laws don't celebrate it...my husband and in-laws never asked me to keep KC but I always do because I feel like doing it..I always saw my mom do it, I always thought it was a beautiful festival and so I do it...If I stop doing it tomorrow, neither my husband, nor my parents nor my in-laws will say a thing..They want me to do what makes me happy and keeping this fast does make me happy! It's absolutely wrong to generalize thing.

Raveen Tandon is absolutely right here!

To each its own I guess! I think both raveena and barkha are right in their own way! To me the fact that a woman keeps her husband's last name is also regressive! Can u imagine the man doing such a thing? No!
