Director Rohit Shetty says he is extremely happy directing actresses like Deepika Padukone (Chennai Express), Kareena Kapoor (Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3 andSingham Returns) and now Kajol with one of the most anticipated Dilwale, and all of these actresses, he says, are hugely talented. "These are very fine actresses. You know it when they do comedy. People feel comedy is easy, it is down market, but it is most difficult to have the right comic timing. And of course, they are great with other emotions, too," says Rohit, who also has a great opinion about Priyanka Chopra though they haven't worked together so far.
And among actors, Rohit says his dream is to direct Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan. Bachchan had done a special song in Rohit's directorial venture 'Bol Bachchan' few years back. "I want to work with him in a full-fledged film," says Rohit. The director, known for his mass-entertainer films, had earlier said that he has been watching Bachchan since childhood and his films like Deewar, Zanjeer, Amar Akhtar Anthony are among his favourites. I used to go on the sets of his films with my dad (veteran stunt-master-actor M B Shetty) and observe him. I still get scared when he is around', he was once quoted saying.
Besides Amitabh, Rohit would like to team up with Salman Khan obviously for an action-oriented film. "I would love to do a film with him. But it has to be something big for us to come together, like how I and Shah Rukh Khan came together for Chennai Express. I want the right script for Salman," says Rohit.
