You do make really valid points but I don't think it's solely because of uniqueness or freshness because then even VD and Sid would be delivering flops. IMO even the latter two don't bring much freshness to the table. Maybe like someone said, he just lacks the X-factor. Don't know. But I'll be happy as long as he does and gets appreciated for performance oriented roles :)

what are u people talking about? shahid is the luckiest guy in bw right now.. or should i say including his talent his luck is what keeping him in bw despite such a bad career... 😆😆 look where are people like abhishek, esha and fardeen now.. 😆

He has bad script sense, besides Haider every movie he has picked is awful.

His last few movies - Mausam, Teri Meri Kahani, R Rajkumar, PPNH, Shandaar - who on earth would pick some films?

When he has picked good films they have worked: His debut, Jab We Met, Haider, Kaminey ,etc. He needs to get more pickier, but at the same time, if he's getting paid big bucks for a film like Shandaar then why not do it?

However, I wouldn't call him unlucky he's still getting paid and is quite rich so does it really matter? LOL.

I agree about his recent films after Kaminey, some not good choices, but surprisingly I could watch them at home at any given time.. I guess he does films which are good time passes, so people rather watch it at home than go theatre to watch it.. A little upset(if the film is really bad/flop) cos I expected alot after Haider.. I guess like someone else said he is suited for non commercial roles.. Someone made a valid point in the BO thread, I too think he will go his father way(non commercial actor)..
