Actor Emraan Hashmi, who fought a tough battle last year when his son was diagnosed with cancer, recently shared his experience at the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons.
The 36-year-old was invited as a special guest to share the challenges parents faces when their child has a terminal illness. "Emraan's five-yearold son Ayaan, who was diagnosed with an illness last year, is now in remission. He and his family went through emotional turmoil last year when they got to know of Ayaan's condition. The actor shared his eye-opening experiences and meaningful insights," says a source close to the actor.
Emraan had also announced his decision to write a book which would talk about ways to cope with this stress. "He will write about how to come to terms with this situation. He hopes to provide comfort and guidance to those whose face similar problems in life," adds the source.
Confirming the news, the actor's spokesperson says, "Emraan talked about his experience as a parent of a child who's undergone a major surgery. He also stressed on the importance of a good pediatrician who parents can work with."
