Amitabh Bachchan and Bigg Boss go back a long way. He had hosted the show nine years ago and it is interesting that Season 9 is being kick-started on Big B's 73rd birthday on October 11. What's more, we hear from reliable sources close to Bigg Boss that team intends to invite the Big B for the show's premiere. Says the source, "Salman personally intends to invite the senior icon to spend a small portion of his special day on the show on the inaugural episode."

Continues to source, "Earlier it was just a coincidence that the show was to premiere on his birthday. But now the Bigg Boss team intends to honour the occasion. They will go through the cake-cutting ceremony and the contestants will wish him on the occasion."
