If Arjit's songs are superhit ... good for him. lol Even today when Atif song comes out or find out he is singing for such or such movie ... people still get excited. That's not the definition of fading out.

But we are speaking in terms of Bollywood here. This is BW forum, isnt it? And Atif does not sing for BW as frequently as he used to...I dont follow Coke Studio, I follow Hindi movie music.

And Arjit is the top singer as far as BW is concerned. Every month, he has at least 2 songs in the top 10 playlist.

He sounds completely different from the Bolly songs he has sung. He does sound quite off-key in the few Hindi songs I have heard, my opinion was solely based on that.

But in this Sufi composition, he sounds wonderful. Downloading it right now.

I'm personally over my atif craze, (tu chahiye and jeena jeena aren't in my playlists 😆) but his Tajdar e Haram is commendable. I wish he can explore this genre a little more. He did a really good job...I'd pay to download such sufi numbers by Atif.

Are we? I was talking generally. The Pakistani coke studio is also seen by indian audience. The comments underneath are from various nationality/countries. You can check.

And basically, you talking about how 'we are talking about Bollywood here only' ... you kinda give green check to my statements above. Why Atif doesn't have as many songs in BW as before ... 😛

He needs to be more humble but people making it seem like Atif never had solid hits are wrong. He was a huge rage when the Bhatts found him and basically the whole Woh Lamhe debuted in India. He hasn't been consistent but he's had a lot of hits over the years.

That being said, I like Arijit a lot b/c he's so humble and kind. And he respects his journey and hardship. Plus, Atif has been accused of using autotune by various singers and music directors but Arijit never has.

Atif himself brought in Ankit and Arijit as comparisons, those 2 guys sing mainly for BW ...so it can be said that Atif was referring to BW only when he said those 2 cannot replace him...which is technically a wrong statement since they have already replaced Atif as far as BW playback singing is concerned.

Atif maybe still popular in non movie songs but hes not as popular as a playback singer in BW anymore.

@ Jake why r u making it an issue of nationality? It is ur perception perhaps that "Indians" are so heartless and cruel that they are not giving the mighty talented Atif chances coz of his nationality. While conveniently forgetting the fact that the same Indians gave him a part of the stardom he enjoys now.As far as I remember its not a new development that he's a Pakistani he was one even when he was the 'in thing' in btown those days.

Can't tell who is better, everyone is unique in their own way and everyone has their own opinion about them.

I had the privilege to experience both Ankit Tiwari and Atif Aslam last weekend, and Arjith Singh last year.
In my opinion all three were fantastic, but still Atifs show was sheer magic. This guy has such a crazy fan following and his voice is so unique and he has that boyish charm which makes him so likeable. Also the way he hits his high notes gave me goosebumps, so I have to say his live show was a total different experience for me compared to the two other singers. Even all my friends who went to Arjith too were saying after Atifs show that, although Arjith is extremely good, Atif still remains the best!
So I can't say anything about the best singer, but for best live shows Atif really tops the list, he is really such a rockstar. And then Ankit comes close second, But I definitly love all three of them but I just think Atif has that special X factor, which the others don't have. His concerts are awesome!

Call atif besura or whatever but he has been a trendsetter .

Arijit may have given a TUM HI HO now, but Atif gave a AADAT back in early 2000s. Please don't forget. Aadat was written and composed, and Sung by Atif Aslam . while Tum Hi Ho was only sung by Arijit.

Bollywood wouldn't give him an award for the evergreen AADAT because they had no balls to accept the fact a Pakistani song created a chaos in India.

plus bollywood has no balls to give credit to pakistani singers and composers as well. which is a shame. they keep stealing tunes as well as a whole song and end up calling their own...shit heads.

Recently, Amaal Malik called the song "TERE BIN" as his OWN on Indian Idol, and nobody corrected him? That song isn't Amaals. Amaal stole it, it belongs to Uzair Jaswal. Amaal recreated the tune and called it his own. Amaal can get in legal trouble for not crediting Uzair but I don't think he is that cruel. Bacha samaj ke jaane dega 😳
