Aamir empathizing with the plight of crocodiles
Bollywood megastar, Aamir Khan, who took a break from shootingemotionally draining episodes for SMJ to visit the Bandra zoo with his son Junaid over the weekend, had another cathartic release after he entered the reptilian section of the zoo, housing gharials, caiman, alligators, muggers, and other assorted members of the crocodile family.
According to onlookers, the superstar was initially cheerful and ebullient but after spotting some muggers basking in the sun, his mien turned grim and he began to gaze at those cold-blooded creatures with furrowed brows and intense concentration. And soon he was weeping profusely which in turn induced a mass catharsis with the Niligiri langurs from the adjacent monkeys section also joining their reptilian colleagues in expressing their sorrow.
Later, recalling the incident, Aamir said he began to cry after noticing tears streaming down the eyes of a croc. "I need to get my SMJ research team to shape this into a concrete narrative but I think I have stumbled upon some interesting material on the sad plight of reptiles in our zoos. Never cried so intensely before," he said.
However, Doob Doob, a giant saltwater crocodile, claims it was Aamir who triggered the bout of mass mourning and not the other way round. "He was staring at us and we were staring back at him. And then his eyes welled up with tears and that's when we began to weep, and it was not merely fake crocodile tears, mind you. He somehow has the knack of sucking you into his vortex of sadness," claimed the reptile.
In related news, superstar Rajnikant has exhorted people of his ilk, namely ageless evergreen megastars, to take care of their aging children after watching the latest SMJ episode on the travails of elderly people.
"It was only after I watched SMJ did it strike me that my kids are getting on in years and I will need to be there for them as they become infirm and senile. Heck man, even Aishwarya Rai, my co-star in Robot, is a budiya now," remarked Rajni. The fact that his kids are aging while he himself remains young and sprightly was poignantly brought home after his Generation Y co-star Deepika Padukone addressed his daughter as aunty' on the sets of Rana', Rajni's home-production.
"And when I commence shooting for the sequel to Robot with Aradhya Bachchan in 2030 for which I have already committed dates, my kids will become senior citizens with special needs," added a pensive Rajni. "I am grateful to Aamirji for sensitizing me to their special needs."
