Deepika

There's always stuff going on off-screen that clearly takes away from her abilities.

But every movie since Cocktail, she has shined in them. Take Piku this year. She proved for me with that film that her success in 2013 was not a fluke, and also that she doesn't take her audience for granted.

She is definitely the one who lets her work do the talking

I have to agree with you here. Her PR might over hype her and her films but you never see her talk about how great she was. Can't say the same for PC and Vidya. Few mentioned about how PC didn't like it when she didn't win for MK- goes to show she thinks she was the best. Not to forget her am the heroine for Krissh. And many of her interviews were she has said no other actress can do the work I do and something arrogant like that. Vidya too showed some arrogance during her peak days. I have yet to see Deepika show arrogance in terms of her performance. She fits the let my work do the talking very well.

Deepika is more arrogant about her relationship with Ranbir than her own performances. 😆

So Deepika and Kangana for me. Both talk about a lot of other things but their films- role- and performances. Maybe that's why there usually the ones who walk away with most appreciation from their performance because no one expects anything from them until they see the film.

Also name actresses who:

1) Mouth does talking, work does not - Kareena, Sonam,

2) Mouth does talking, so does work - most annoying of the lost tbh - have no idea

3) both don't do talking - they are always gayab but have talent to let work do talking

Shes the best. But, I have to agree about Ranbir. 😆. But she made Ranbir became the most charm actor in Bollywood!.
But now, she made Ranveer become the most charm actor in Bollywood. I hope she be mine, so I can be the most charm guy in India. 😆

An heroine means the good lead female character of the film which she was? The antagonist isn't called the heroine of the film. What was so wrong in that? If you even read the whole interview, she was raving about Kangana's role in the film & even said she would do it if she could.
She is absolutely right about the part about nobody could do her work - She makes a conscious effort to select different & gives 200% efforts. That is confidence & hard work! Nobody can actually play the roles she played- jhilmil, meghana, MK better than what she did.
In the Anupam Kher Show, she was very upfront about the MK not winning awards part. She said she was upset when Barfi didn't win cause it was a career best & deserved it. But for MK even though she did good, Kangana deserved it more. Yes she was upset but happy that Kangana won it.

There is a thin line between confidence & big headness. But this topic was more about the fact that people who talk so much before their film, & their work doesn't show it. But people who don't overhype their roles before the film but their work shows amazingness.
But it's okay I understand you hate PC- so continue 😳 😆

PC for sure. Her great work just doesn't always get the recognition it should and she doesn't frequently whine about it, unfortunately. Followed by Vidya

Like someone mentioned all actresses blow their own trumpet...it's a necessity if they want to survive in BW...BW is all about the survival of the fittest. There are a few actresses who go overboard...like Bebola, Sonam and Kangy (who had lost her mind after Queen's success)...but I feel PC is the one who lets her work speak for herself the most out of all her contemporaries. Wasn't on this forum during Vidya's reign (I joined a few months before D3 released) so don't know much about her off screen personality but from what I know she is a very humble lady. And DP to some extent as well. Yes, she has an obnoxious PR but I have never gotten a narcissistic-vibe from her.
