Welcome Back Has Huge Sunday

Welcome Back has had a huge Sunday with collections hitting 20 crore nett and the weekend going to 51 crore nett apprx. It is the second highest weekend of the year after Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Nest best was Brothers which had grossed 47.42 crore nett and ABCD 2 at 46.16 crore nett so Welcome Back has comfortably beaten these two films

The collections should hold on Monday as unlike most films made today its not the handfull of big cities which have the highest falls in ticket rates on Monday dominating business. The core Hindi markets are doing very well and these hold better over weekdays. The film is looking set for a big run over the next few weeks despite the competition in front of them

The India collections were expected to be good though probably not as high as a 50 crore nett plus weekend but Overseas has sprung surprised with early weekend numbers suggesting good weekend total which is a bonus for the film.

My Review

This movie is totally laugh riot awesome and mind blowing acting by Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar. Both overshadowed everyone in the movie in Majnu Bhai and Uday Shetty character. Though Paresh Rawal didn't had much do in the movie but his lines in the movies are totally howlarious and one of the besht is - Yeh toh wahi baat hui jab mene vote hi nahi daala toh Mukhya Mantri mera kaise hua. 🤣 🤣
John was decent and graveyard scene was really howlarious both John and Paresh scaring Nana and Anil there and singing songs. 🤣
Didn't liked the ending but other then that this movie is totally laugh riot u will laugh and laugh and laugh while seeing this movie. Here at my ace whole theatre was full and from beginning to ending ppl were continuosly laughing. Go and watch it with ur family its fully family entertainer.

Welcome Back is enjoying a good run at the domestic box office, what with the first weekend business set to be similar to Akshay Kumar's Brothers at around the 50 crore mark.

The major difference though is in the trends. While Brothers' and to an extent even ABCD 2, failed to show huge gains over the weekend, Welcome Back has shown tremendous growth even at circuits where it did not open as well as others on Friday.

A lot would also depend on the response that Hero' gets at the box office next weekend, but if Welcome Back' holds strongly over the weekdays, the Anees Bazmee directed film could be in for long and successful run at the box office.

Last week's release Phantom' has been completely crushed by the Welcome Back' wave all over the country. For the first time after the release of Bajrangi Bhaijaan', single screens and multiplexes across the country, from small to big, are performing well.

#IndicineLBO prediction: We expect Welcome Back to finish with lifetime business of 120 crore.
