Bang Bang sequel to roll in 2016

It was reported earlier in this newspaper that the sequel of the blockbuster film Bang Bang will have a different cast and a different director. Hrithik and Katrina have made way for Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez while Raj and D.K. (of Happy Ending and Go Goa Gone fame) will be stepping in as directors. There were no issues with the previous team but it was decided that the franchise be taken forward with a new cast and director. However, the film will only go on floors next year.

A source told us, "Both Sidharth and Jacqueline have committed to the film and they love the new concept. But they are already tied up with their existing film commitments which will keep them busy till the start of next year."

After that, they will sit with Raj and D.K. for a final narration and start their rehearsals. Since it will be an action film, both the actors will be going through strenuous training for their respective roles.

It's already a known fact that the sequel of the blockbuster film Bang Bang' is on cards. However, if the latest reports are to be believed, Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez are officially confirmed as the lead roles in the film.

Raj and D.K of Happy Ending' and Go Goa Gone' fame will be stepping in as directors and it will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner. It is also learnt that the action-packed second instalment of the Bang Bang' franchise will go on floors next year.

A source close to the unit said that since it will be an action film, Sidharth and Jacqueline will be going through rigorous training for their respective roles. This action flick is slated to hit the screens by the end of 2016.
