I feel like she retired or something 😆 Sad I preferred her over Alia. 🤔

I feel this is the reason people feel there is too much Alia. She doesn't have a worthy competition yet. The annoyance at her being served films on her a platter is justified but let us seriously ask: if not her then who else? Kriti is the only one close to her in age but being an outsider she is yet to deliver in a way that she makes a mark. I hope to see her doing that with Dilwale.

We definitely need more 90s born actresses, whether industry kids or outsiders. This might be feminism-inspired side of me talking, but I feel they will bring a much-needed freshness in the industry. Such young actresses will push the senior actors to take up more age-appropriate roles and thus pave way for younger actors as well.

I feel this is a very dynamic time for the industry. If the cards are played correctly, Bollywood can churn out a variety in terms of the age of its protagonists. The stardom of the middle-aged actors is still at it's peak but they cannot believably be paired with the newest lot. So like someone mentioned in the first page, it would be a good time for the senior actresses to make a comeback as leading women.

I know my theory might sound a little far-fetched but I feel it's plausible provided enough efforts are made.

They aren't needed. I like to see actors close in age romancing. And now actresses don't have to start packing their bags when they're approaching 30.

Alia performed well, but a lot of the younger girls either perform badly or don't get enough chances to improve their performance. Some get stuck into mediocre films and roles.
Over the past few years, I thought all of these girls - Aditi Sharma, Radhika Apte, Aditi Rao Hydari, Amrita Puri, Priya Anand, Monica Dogra, Kriti Malhotra - showed promise in one role or the other. Of them, Radhika is now making an identity for herself in independent cinema, but some of the others are not even considered for most of the mainstream heroes.

Oops I just realised that the heroines I mentioned may not be under 25! I don't particularly want to see the romance of immature teenagers on my screen unless they are particularly compelling in terms of their screen presence or acting abilities.

I know. And most of them are better actors than a lot of the foreign imports, who are often expressionless and murder Hindi.

There was Diana Penty as well in Cocktail, i honestly thought she would take over the industry after Cocktail but sadly she vanished and she was 26 when that movie came out!

She is a lot better than Alia, Shraddha, Parineeti, Sonakshi - all of them.

bollywood seriously needs some talented actresses.
Not dwarfs or expressionless ones.
glamour and charm are all time low in bollywood right now.

Deepika padukone is average looking. but sadly she is described as a beautiful woman.
I am not aishwarya rai's fan, but I think she is one of the most beautiful actress. She is close to retiring and she still is the most beautiful one.

current generation needs someone who has talent, height, glamour, good looks.
