I'm so glad unrealistic, idealistic "romantic" movies ended in 90's.
SRK dancing with ghostie Ash with romantic tune in the background 😆 Um. Just NO.

I couldn't get past the sweater being draped over the sweater. Out of all the big W T F moments this movie had (and it had many). that's one I couldn't past. 😆You're already wearing a sweater dude, why do you need drape the same sweater in another color over your shoulders?

I loved this movie...it is one of those movies whose script I find ridiculous but still find very entertaining...just like ETT(like an ISI agent will run away with a RAW agent?...they are not trained that way...they put their country before their emotions)
So in Mohabbatein...i found it ridiculous that Shahrukh would want the students to fall in love and all that shit at the cost of their studies?? I mean those kids were teenagers...and to encourage them to run away from school...and do bagawat against their Principal...that was ridiculous...AB Sr was doing the right thing keeping the kids in check...but anyways...like I said...I can watch it again and again for Shahrukh/AB Sr and its entertainment value.

You know what they say about masala entertainment these days, I feel these vintage YRF and Dharma films are similar in terms of 'leave your brains behind'. The events don't exactly unfold logically. Like DB_reloaded mentions, they transport us in another feel-good, dream-like world and work well as a means of escapism.

all of a sudden why are we looking for logic😆 8 out of 10 commercial bollywood films are practically senseless we good entertainment and some real "Proper acting"

Because I see many people mentioning how they grew out of it because of the lack of logic😆

Bollywood films world over are still famous for their entertainment value and not quality anyway. So might as well enjoy. I appreciate the transition it's trying to make, even I want the world audience to take Hindi cinema more seriously. But I feel there should be a certain balance. Like I mentioned earlier, I miss such films because they were my happy place. If someone genuinely doesn't like melodrama, I can understand (like I don't generally enjoy masala). But if we start chasing 'realism' everywhere then not just Bollywood but cinema in general is not for us because makers exercise their creative license in more ways than one.
