The Indian filmmaker Sriram Raghavan is one who directed action crime drama film Badlapur'. It was released in February 2015. Now the director has some other plans in his mind. Sriram is planning to make an adaptation of Vikas Swarup's The Accidental Apprentice'.
Even though the casting team has not been finalised the Badlapur' director has shown keen interest to work with Piku' actress Deepika Padukone. He told PTI, "I have not finalised her (Deepika) yet but we would love to work with her. I have just met her and sounded her the idea. She (Deepika) is a talented actress and we would like to work with her. But till I don't finish my script I can't talk about it (casting)."
It is also heard that the Phantom' actor Saif Ali Khan could be a part of a thriller film that Sriram is intending to make. Nothing is confirmed on that too. The director said, "We have a team of writers and we are working on something with Saif. It is too early to talk about it. The last film Agent Vinod' that I did with him did not do that well so I owe it to him."
Now is that an indication that the director is planning to rope in the duos again for his next? Saif and Deepika have shared screen space in Love Aaj Kal', Aarakshan', Cocktail' and Race 2'. (Image Credits - Pinterest)
