I think for once, this mentor-mentee system is doing someone SO much good!

I want to say that the help is what has made her so successful, but Alia HAS something in her.

She's a good actress! If she sucked, there wouldn't have BEEN so many movies in which K.Jo held her pinky, because Karan Johar, as many people are saying, is a businessman with a businessman mentality. If you are lugging around a share/portfolio that is not showing profit potential in the near future, you DITCH that project.

Karan Johar has VERY great reason to keep giving aid to Alia.

I liked her in Highway but frankly speaking, Im getting sick of this girl now! 🥱

Shes in every single new movie being announced! 😲

Not even the top actresses like Deepu and Kangy are getting so many new projects!

Its so unfair on the other actresses like Parineeti, Anushka, Ileana, Yami, who are more talented than her, but not getting roles just because they dont have an adoptive dad like KJo!

It will also be monotonous to see Alia in every Dharma movie in future...she will start getting flops for sure...repetition ki bhi hadd hoti hai! 🤢

General public doesn't care much about this. Promos,star cast,good music is the thing they care for and later WOM when any movie releases.Aalia is a good actress and as long as she is giving good returns to KJo, the businessman daddy,this association will go on. Her diary is full.. and she is working with the likes of SRK,Gauri Shinde,Imtiaz etc..what more can she ask for😆

agree with all the comments here...

Kjo is limiting Aalia's potential and DYNAMISM by casting her in one kind of cinema (no matter how diverse the stories r but production house' stamp is there in every film and its overall presentation) just like what mahesh bhatt did to pooja bhatt, or ram gopal verma to urmila.

Alia is an OK actress and works well for Dharma setups. But she is not diversifying enough...very high risk and I see a "Rani-YRF" downfall coming for her. But age is on her side, so she has time to recover if that does indeed happen.

all very logical points... hopefully she wont be pooja bhatt 2 an excellent talent who started big but lost in one kind of cinema (of mahesh bhatt style) or urmila an outstanding actress who never got her due bcoz of getting stuck only with ramu.

OR Parineeti lol Kil Dill Killed her career even though in that same year she gave a strong performance in Hasee Toh Phasee.

Alia has just been lucky thats all! Once the luck runs out everyone will realize that she is not a superstar and is just being forced onto the audiences. Its the same thing that happened with Preity, Rani and Parineeti they committed themselves to doing only YRF films and when YRF got bored, they were thrown out and jobless.
