Honestly, as soon as someone mentioned it, I realised BW has never even touched the subject of Pedophilia so it should be interesting if handled well (which Ii do trust Gauri to do) and as you said, another diverse character for SRK.As a fan, I'd actually not mind seeing him play that role...so so so different not just for SRK but for BW too. I'd love to see BW venture into such dark subjects.

And honestly, I know he isn't the same SRK as the one 20 years ago who'd gladly take risks (Darr comes to mind first), but even now, I trust only him to take the plunge if and when he's ready...the others are too scared and concerned about their goody two shoes image to ever try anything like this. And SRK the actor can definitely handle it.

I completely agree. People tend to use Maya Memsaab as an insult to SRK just because he was naked in the film. Seriously? You trash the story, the execution, fine, why his nakedness? I would never be ashamed of it simply because it was an experiment to adapt a classic & it failed. It's okay not all risks pay off. This paedophilia issue mockery also is the same. What started off as a mocking joke here actually caught my fancy & why not? I'd be totally on board for it. Even I don't think a film is made on paedophilia. Nishabd has shades of it but IDK if Jiah was a minor there & the execution sucked. Highway showed it subtly & effectively. I really think a sensitive director like Gauri is capable of this but again very far-fetched. Looks like it'll remain a dream for the next couple of years. Hopefully SRK will still be active & can play this role without inhibitions of his stardom, image etc.
