He is not exclusive.

He does too many films.

And many of them are sub par.

Other superstars are exclusive, sign better films. They make people wait and look forward to tbem. Akki is routinely available. He is weak af marketing as well.

Never had mass mania that Khans have had.

No it definitely doesn't😆 I had such high hopes for him after he had that awesome year in 2007 followed up with Singh Is Kinng, but he signed films all over the place for no rhyme or reason. Slowly and steadily he lost that momentum he had over a space of a few years

I was just scrolling through his filmography, the list alone is so long, but even after 2009-2010, there's still a significant amount of films that he's done...way too many to scroll through😆😆

Special 26, Baby are films i enjoyed. & RR was terrible.

What he lacks is that he does not promote himself - he has no 'Satyamev Jayate" or " Being Human".

On the contrary I think today he is the most complete star. Balances masala with good films like Baby, S26, Holiday. RR was shit...he tried repeating the formula many times in films like Entertainment, Khiladi 786. But times has changed. Thankfully he has wisened up. If other superstars had guts to release films on non-holidays like Akki we would see how well their lame films did.

Weren't Gabbar and Baby successful films?

I think he's doing well for himself, from the older lot he seems to be doing the most projects, I'm glad he's over that "comedy" phase that he was once going through. HE seems to be experimenting and thats good he can afford to experiment.

Cant call him one-note anymore...he went from being an action-star...to a comedy actor...and now he is doing so many different roles that I think we can safely call him a versatile actor!

This year itself - Baby - Gabbar - Brothers - Singh is Bling - such different movies and different characters

Exactly! Akki doesnt sell himself as a Brand, as a Fake hero in real life like those 2 Khans do.

He just does his work, acts in lots of movies, good and bad, and lets his work do the talking.

People complain abt Hrithik and Aamir that they do very few movies, hardly one a year or even less. Akki does the opposite, he releases 3-4 movies a year but if their collections are totalled then its a good enough success ratio!

Gabbar and Baby were both hits this year! I dont know why Brothers is being written off so early on...this forum disses movies by all actors except for their favorite Khans.

Holiday was successful too. I like the fact that he is ageing gracefully.
