Most of the respect he gets is due to his work so I think that is justified.

But it's also a given that he is one of the only veterans that have both a decent current body of work and a way with words with media, the other one being Anil Kapoor.

Rishi has a colourful personal and social life, Javed is arrogant and doesn't work as much anymore, Salim Khan only talks about Salman, Mahesh Bhatt is weird nowadays, Govinda is flopping, and I can't think of anyone else. 😆

Well a thumbs up for the awe worthy career he has had and the way he had fought back. Very inspirational. I personally love almost 90% of his movies if not all. I would not disrespect him given his age but I will easily ignore him if he is in the nearby vicinity. If that's disrespect for others so be it. I judge a person on the basis Of his personal and professional life. I don't believe all the shit that is published but 100% he was a tharki in his jawaani ke din. I don't believe the latest blind published on him but I definitely believe my parents and the older generation where 99.99% agree Rekha ke saath affair. Although the scams he was involved in do not have concrete proofs of him being guilty but I have an inkling that they were partially true. My other problem is the way he projects himself in public like some Mahatma and the older generation goes all lattoo over him.
I wanted to take this thread as an opportunity to clear a misunderstanding on the thread which was closed down by the mods on the scam of 1984 riots in which he was involved. My father has not seen the DD footage of AB instigating the public khoon me badle khoon. He has only read and heard about it. I misunderstood what he was trying to say.

he deserves all the respect as a proffessional,being a brilliant actor and continuiing to stay relevant to this day.
