ANAND RAI: Just because I met RANVEER or other actors doesnt mean film

After delivering back-to-back hits with Raanjhanaa (2013) and the Tanu Weds Manu series, film-maker Aanand L Rai is one of the most sought-after directors in Bollywood right now.

In fact, speculation about his next film has been rife for some time now. Till date, names like Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan have been attached to his next. However, the film-maker is amused with these reports.

"I enjoy meeting actors. I was busy with one film, and now, I will work on a script and start my struggle again. I will give my 100% to reach the actors who are required for my script. I will fight for it, and I will survive. For this reason, I have to go and meet actors. And that's why I met Ranveer, Ranbir, and Salman bhai.

But just because Ranveer - or any other actor - and I are meeting, it doesn't mean there is a film happening," he says. Rai feels that as creative people, they have to hobnob with one another. "At the end of the day, we are in the same profession, so we have to meet, talk and understand each other. Film-making is not as technical as it looks. There's a lot of bonding involved. And that will happen only when you meet people," he says.

About his much-hyped meeting with Salman, he explains, "I don't know where such stories come from. One moment people say he is doing my film, the next moment he is not." So what's next? "It's just over a month since my last film released. I want to live a little before I move on to another story. I am in no hurry to make so many films," he says.

YES, he doesn't have. Ranveer already said in interview he is happy to have open dates because during such times, he got the best movie offered...
Think about this- all other actors are currently booked..only he is free after BM😛... unless you think he is not a gud actor or won't be offered a movie, he has the best chance to get big directors' movie...
Unlike other actors who book their date for years, it's not in his scheme

why do u think he got to work with directors like slb, vikramaditya, zoya... because he had dates and people knew he is a good actor... there is no way he would be offered a movie by those directors otherwise when there are actors whose family know each and every director and can just call them up to inquire

Director is good but as a person so chalu. Anand rai was exposed by Salman he is the one who gives story of every actor working with him to media to create hype around his movies and name to get bigger studio backings in the end some Maddy and Dhanush would be doing the movies.
