Big B-Jaya together for a special appearance in Balki's next

The two-day cameo will be filmed at their Juhu bungalow, Jalsa.

In an interview with Mirror (June 6), Amitabh Bachchan revealed that he was looking forward to a 'special appearance' in R Balki's upcoming romcom, while the filmmaker had admitted that the film which rolls next month, would be impossible without this 'very special appearance'.

A slice-of-life story about a married couple, the as-yet-untitled film, pairs Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor for the first time. She's playing a corporate wife and he is the stay-at-home husband. Now, Mirror has learnt that there's another jodi in the film, being played by Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan.

"The Bachchans will not play Arjun or Kareena's parents. Nor are they their mentors or advisors. Amitji and Jayaji are playing themselves in the film, a superstar couple. And they will be filmed in their own Juhu home, Jalsa," reveals a source close to the development.

Big B and his better half, who were vociferously cheering son Abhishek's kabaddi team, Jaipur Pink Panthers, on Wednesday, were last seen on screen together in 2012 in Ganga Devi, their make-up man, Deepak Savant's Bhojpuri film. Their last Hindi film was Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi... Kabhie Gham, which released 14 years ago in 2001. "It's just a two-day shoot but this cameo is not just significant to the plot but also undoubtedly one of the film's greatest highlights," adds the source.
