extended cameo,it was a supporting role...the original Telugu version had Rajnikant only for 15mins...many songs featured him...aisa baat mat karo BIJji theatre main dkha tha iss film ko...Rajesh Khanna had 15 straight hits that too in 4 years...even many TV channels have said that no one has come closer to him...it was all promoted on SRK...

@Aishominz: would u not give him credit for Deewana,Darr and Karan Arjun success?
