The Bajrangi Bhaijaan child star Harshali Malhotra was offered to play the young Katrina in Fitoor.
The offer was for a cameo, and it came soon after the 7-year old finished shooting for the Eid blockbuster.
So what happened? A source says, "Her mother Kajal turned down the offer because Salman's company didn't want her to be over exposed."
When contacted, Harshali's mother Kajal said: "I don't want to talk about the details of the offer but yes, she was offered to play the younger Katrina in Abhishek Kapoor's forthcoming film. I wanted Harshaali to have a breather; Bajrangi was a time consuming film. I didn't want my daughter to get drained. And after a full length role, I don't want her to do five-minute cameos."
But hey! Salman soon got a dose of his own medicine! Harshali's mom then went on to say 'No' to Harshali being a part of Salman starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo! Seems, Salman wanted Harshali to play a key but small role. And since the screen time was as small as the one in Fitoor, her mum Kajal... well you know what she did. Lol. "I requested Salman sir not to cast my daughter. He also agreed that the role was small and wouldn't do much for her career as a child actor," says Kajal.
