No we don't and I think that's a very good thing. Changing it for personal preferences is one thing. But having the need to change it so the general audience will become more accepting of you if they can't tell what your background is, as was the case with Hollywood stars, is just wrong and sad.
Leonardo DiCaprio has told a story years ago that as a teen or preteen when he first joined Hollywood and got an agent he was told to change his name. His full name is Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio. He was told that he needed an easier name to remember and suggested to him to Americanize his first and middle name and go by Lenny Williams. 😆 Luckily for all of us he said no, and well, rest is history.
