Its been ages since I watched a Mani Ratnam. He used to make such wonderful films Roja, Bombay, Guru ... What the hell happened.

Yep, after Ravana he went downhill 😆 same happened with RGV after Sarkar Raaj

I think Yuva was bad too..The last time i liked a film of his was way back when he made Kannathil Muthamittal ( not sure whether it released in Hindi)..Beautiful film on the Sri Lankan civil war..Guru was alright too tbh but not a patch on his earlier films..

Suhasini said last year that there were some date issues so Mani moved on to Ok Kanmani. Reports mentioned some technical issues.

In the Cannes chat session this year, Ash confirmed that Mani JUST spoke to her about reviving the film. Ash had obviously committed to ADHM and Sarabjit by then, and she has no dates till early 2016. So maybe they mutually decided to start next yr. And it is a big film and to be shot all around the world. Maybe it is taking Mani to get it all in place.

For me, Roja is his best work. Just loved that film. Haven't watched any of his tamil films that has not been made in hindi. So Roja>Bombay>Guru>Dil Se>Yuva and oh yess Anjali too 😃
