SSR, Varun, Katty among many others also deny being approached. I guess actors no longer want to be used by PHs to keep the buzz active on some film whose casting isnt final. Viceversa for directors too.

The Tamil version of Yuva is far far better, just like Raavanan was the far better film of the two. Ayutha Ezhuthu (Yuva's tamil version) had better performances, better dialogues, even the editing was better imo. Mani is most comfortable in his mother tongue with the exception being Guru, which was a fabulous film. Maybe he should concentrate on single language films than bi-linguals. I even liked the cute Ok Kanmani.

I believe he is immensely talented and one of the best India has.

There are many good directors in Bollywood these days. If Mani is making snooze-worthy movies...why shouldn't he be criticized? He used to make beautiful and soulful movies, not any more.

I agree..MR is comfortable in his mother tongue & he should stop trying to make Hindi films..Dil Se was an exception..I absolutely loved that film back then..Manisha & SRK were fabulous..Such an underrated pair IMO..

Yep, Anjali, the kid who acted the title role was so brilliant. That young girl and Ayesha Kapur from Black are 2 standout performance yet to see anything as amazing.

She is Shalini's sister btw ( heroine of Alaipayuthey, Tamil version of Saathiya 😆)..I actually loved all the kids in Anjali..Even that girl who played Anjali's sibling..Her performance in the climax is what actually makes you cry 😆

Yep all the kids in that film was amazing. I liked the setting as well, it was so real. I grew up in a campus like surrounding and I could identify with it. Casting was top notch. Is she an actor now?
