I think 2 of DP's best performances have been in Cocktail and Finding Fanny. Third is Piku, of course!

But Homi Adajania does have a knack of bringing out d best in DP. In Cocktail, her best performance till date, she totally gets into the skin of the emotionally raw and needy poor little rich girl. She abandons her statuesque pose and becomes raw, messed up, beguilingly grey.

What a performance! And from then on, DP becomes an 'actress' and no longer just a pretty face.

Secondly, I think she played a simple but emotional girl very well in Finding fanny. I just loved her performance there- underrrated but excellent

So I guess Fault in oUr stars will be really good - Deepika will outshine herself as a cancer patient.

Do you guys agree Homi Adajania brings out the best in her?

Nope. She was terrible in FF. That accent and dialogue delivery...

there was no accent. and at times her dialogue delivery may sound problematic, but overall i think she's wonderful

Honestly, after watching the BM teaser, I feel like SLB will bring out the best in DP till date 😆😆

I think some of her best performances were in CE, RL, Piku and now BM...so I guess RS, Shoojit and SLB bring out the best in her...but it also depends on the type of character and story so giving credit to a director alone ain't really fair.

I don't really know how I feel about Homi though. Maybe if he brings out an exceptional performance from DP in TFIOS remake then yeah he might be added to the list but so far nah. But that's a long way to go. For now, I don't think much of Homi.
