Top Ten Footfalls And Average Ticket Prices 2014

The top ten footfalls of 2014 are as follows and the ATP (Average Ticket Price) for each film is in brackets.

1. PK - 2.79 cr (160)
2. Kick - 2.03 cr (141)
3. Happy New Year - 1.63 cr (146)
4. Singham Returns - 1.43 cr (133)
5. Bang Bang - 1.31 cr (144)
6. Jai Ho - 1.24 cr (120)
7. Holiday - 1.16 cr (131)
8. 2 States - 95.5 lakhs (145)
9. Ek Villain - 93.3 lakhs (141)
10. Gunday 72.4 lakhs - (136)

The year saw some grossing films topping the 150 ATP mark for the first time with PK leading the list as it managed to hold first weekend ticket rates all through the week. Other films which topped 150 were Queen and Haider. The lower end of the grossing films saw Jai Ho and Action Jackson as they had a huge ratio of business coming from single screens. The footfalls have come down for blockbuster films due to high ticket prices as Gadar topped 4 crore in 2001 and Hum Aapke Hai Kaun was much more than 4 crore in 1994.

BC Dekh lo Salman films ke TICKET PRICES 😆

PK ke kiya footfall compared to other Salman films since Dabaang?

Salman has Risen in 90, dropped in 2000, then again risen in 2010+... Haar kar jeetne waale ko Baazigar kehte hai 😛

PK = 2.79 Cr as compared to Salman films since Dabangg:

1. ETT - 2.19 Cr
2. Dabangg - 2.16
3. Kick - 2.03

Yes Salman khan has yet to redeem it's Footfall power of 90's, but he is back in form, Dekhi jao, Salman hi todega sab records.

@billa aaj ke time me 90s wala Footfall koi achieve bhi nahi kar sakta but saying Kick(Footfall around 2.3cr) dhoom 3 jitna hike karke 400cr kar leti is laughworthy.. simple calculation kar lo yaar in whole run average ticket price for dhoom 3 (260/2.74=94 Rs) & for kick (216/2.3=93 Rs)... 1 Rupees difference se 2-3 cr aur ho jate bas😆

PK footfalls in 2 weeks = ETT Footfall lifetime (5-7 weeks)

PK 2 weeks = 227 Cr

ETT = 186 Cr

Khud dekh lo, 41 Cr ka difference, now this is what i am talking, PK rates pe ETT ne hi 3 Idiots ko beat kar dena tha.

Both D3/PK were hyped for making HUGE RECORDS @ BOX OFFICE, ghantaa kisi ne bhi nahi likha ke FILMS kaise hai, did they? No. So when there is Such huge HYPE for any films, woh collections reflect ho hi jaati hai in longtime run.

So yes, you give any Salman/Srk films same Ticket format, 1st Week mei hi 200+ hogi coz of that extra Bumper thing from both the khans.

And BTW, PK/D3 ke footfalls couldn't cross even 3I? What about that? BC Tripple Screens pe bhi??? D3 made just 59 cr more, 136 cr more PK.

Kick is 2.03 Cr, not 2.3. It would have been 103 Rs. Difference 9 rs. But u guys forgeting the huge openings of Salman's film in last 5 years. 21 Cr BG, 31 Cr ETT, now with that huge TICKET Rates, woh same openings would have been higher.

400-500 Cr main exaggerate kar gaya for instant jump, but it would have been 350-400 Cr for sure. And after that it would have increased for next films, so woh after 3-4 films on high rates could have crossed 400-500 Cr.

Record-breaking advance booking for Bajrangi Bhaijaan

by Rohini Nag (July 15, 2015)

Advance booking for Salman Khan Films' Bajrangi Bhaijaan opened to a phenomenal response at multiplexes and single-screens across India, with the first weekend shows already 70 per cent booked three days prior to the film's release. In most circuits, advance booking opened this morning and since then, tickets have been selling like hot cakes. Distributors feel by tomorrow, the first week will likely be all sold out.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which will release in 4,000 screens all over India, is a veritable Eid treat for the actor's fans and movie-goers in general. The film, Salman Khan's first mega-venture as a producer, also features Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, with Khan playing the title role. It is expected to turn into bumper business over the weekend.

Rajesh Thadani, Multimedia Combines, Mumbai

Everyone is eagerly awaiting the release of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Since Salman Khan and Kabir Khan have teamed up, expectations are higher than usual. I have never witnessed such a frenzy for advance booking. All-India, advance booking is 75 per cent at both multiplexes and single-screens, and in Mumbai, it is 80-per cent and growing. It is safe to say that this film will create enormous box-office records. The weekend shows are almost already booked. This film will definitely break records that were created earlier this year and has been assigned 4,000-5,000 screens all-India and over 1,500 in Mumbai.

Sanjay Ghai, Mukta Arts, Delhi-UP

The film has seen 70-per cent advance booking and the number is rising as we speak. Bajrangi Bhaijaan is expected to be one of the biggest grossers of all time. I have never seen advance booking like this before. For Friday, seats for all five shows in every multiplex are filling up fast. The film is set to release in 4,000 screens all-India and 300-350 screens in Delhi-UP.

Jaspal Dhingra, Nanaskar Enterprises, East Punjab

Advance booking for Bajrangi Bhaijaan is extraordinary. Usually, in Punjab, advance booking doesn't draw much of a response as there is a cinema hall in practically every locality. The opening of Bajrangi Bhaijaan will be huge as everyone is waiting for Salman Khan's next film. It is set to hit around 100 screens in East Punjab.

Debashish Dey, Aum Moviez, West Bengal

Today, we witnessed a huge response for the advance booking and by tomorrow it should be 100 per cent for the weekend. In fact, a few single-screens are already house full for the weekend. The advantage Bajrangi Bhaijaan enjoys is that there has been no big release in recent times and audiences are eagerly waiting for this film. It will definitely break records and create new ones. The film will open at 180-200 screens in West Bengal.

Gaurrav Gaur, O'Real Imagination, Rajasthan

Bajrangi Bhaijaan is all set to break the record for advance booking. It is only Wednesday and, after advance booking opened in the morning, the response has already been been marvellous. Sixty per cent tickets have sold for the weekend. The film will release at around 175 screens and undoubtedly will be a record-breaker.

BH Basha, Bahar Enterprises, Mysore

Advance booking is yet to commence in Mysore but Bajrangi Bhaijaan in general has a very strong buzz. As always, Salman Khan is giving his fans a perfect Eid. Advance booking will start this evening and by the looks of it, the response will be nothing short of spectacular. The film will open at 60-65 screens in Mysore.
