Thank you! Someone else who thinks the same way. I tried reading it but I couldn't make myself go through it. The author tried way to hard to be 'deep', with teenagers being oh so smart and philosophical. Give me break🥱

I found TFIOS very boring and overtly sentimental. The only reason why it worked was because of the actors. Shailene and Ansel were literally the only good thing about the movie!

Not at all sure whether it would work in the hindi version. The kind of chemistry that those two created is not easy to come by. And the film works only because of the chemistry between the lead pair and their own individual performances.

Varun was approached for the film but he said that he didn't have time to allocate to it during an interview and then never spoke about it again so I doubt he'll be in it if it goes on floors next year as he's completing Dilwale shooting, he's commenced Dishoom shooting and he'll be prepping for Shuddhi thereafter.
