Revised BW Forum Rules - Must Read

In addition to the following section guidelines, at all times India-Forums.com- Participation Guidelines & Rules will be in effect. Members are requested to comply with these guidelines to ensure that the forum runs smoothly.

Personal attacks/mocking/Digs etc of members/fans/fan groups are all not allowed. Keep discussions centered around BW and celebs not about the members of the forum or their likes/dislikes. Fans can be passionate towards their favorite celebs, but it does not mean they can be judgmental towards other members . No mudslinging - Keep family members/upbringing out of discussions.

Fan Wars - We're all aware of the fan wars in this forum. Do NOT take every available opportunity & deviate a discussion post into a fan-war zone. eg. Khan Vs Khan ; RanKat Vs Dpad etc. Topics/polls on members ,fans /anti fans, which inevitably results in fights, is NOT allowed. Why a certain fandom likes/dislikes a celebrity is personal choice need not be discussed at length.

Celebrity bashing won't be allowed & what constitutes as bashing is fairly subjective and will be dealt with at the discretion of the DT. However, that being said, obscene/vulgar references won't be allowed, calling people wh**es or s**ts, insinuating different things like saying that someone is a prostitute/po*n star/hooker etc not allowed. Made up names that imply negative tones/demean/ridicule/mock/instigate breaches forum rules in general will not be tolerated. (examples include but are not limited to - cheapika, kamini katty, lallu, sodumb, srgay, etc)

Sexuality of celebs : An actor/celeb's work is not defined by his/her sexuality. Unless any of the celeb choose to come out to the general public / which gender they prefer to be with is entirely their own business.Speculation/discussions which results in homophobic comments and using an actors preference or lack there of as a tool for personal attacks/fan wars will not be not be allowed henceforth.

Personal lives of celebs can be discussed, but please try to keep their kids or non-celebrity family members out of the discussion (including commenting on them, etc) because it's just irrelevant and they're not a part of BW.

Chat Thread: Please don't use the CC as a discussion ground for issues in the BW forum and other forums on IF. The CC should be used for general discussions/chatting but keep in mind that discussing members, etc is not allowed there either. Don't quote members from other forums and discuss them.

MID Allegations - Absolutely no MID allegations will be entertained in the forum. If you think that someone is an MID, report the member or drop the DT a PM and we'll look into it; however, accusing someone of being an MID is absolutely not allowed.

Religion/Politics/Other sensitive topics - None of this is allowed in this forum. If you would like to debate something based on this, then please feel free to take it to the Debate Mansion; however, the BW forum is not the appropriate place for such discussions. These are sensitive topics and we ask that members be respectful of others and their beliefs, etc when posting. Sensitive issues like India vs. Pakistan, religion based discussion etc will likely be closed because these threads tend to become very volatile and can be offensive. Discussion/debate threads will be moved to the Debate Mansion, general questions or discussion may be merged with the CC or moved to any other forum as deemed appropriate.

Hate speech: India-Forums members are allowed freedom of speech & expression, however please ensure any discrimination, racism or hate speech is not advocated. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from its consequences.Refrain from posting any content which might incite/promote hatred towards any member/religion/Nationality/Race or minority/LGBT communities.

Movie review threads should be opened only AFTER the first reviews are available (twitter reviews is fine). Otherwise, these threads simply turn into chatting/discussion threads. All movie review/BO threads will be stickied for one week only, regardless of whether there are other releases the following week or not. ALL reviews should be posted there (especially the first week) including member reviews. Everything will be merged with the main thread.

Movie updates threads - are meant to be discussing the movie as it is being made. Again, keep the discussions relevant to the movie at hand, there's no reason to be bringing in old movies of the actors or different actors in order to instigate fights.

While members are allowed to post reviews (including twitter reviews here), the DT will edit the IDs/info of anyone who does not want their information shared. Important to maintain privacy, so some people may not want their real name, their twitter ID or other such info shared so please be careful about what you post.

TV Celebrities - The BW forum is not meant to be a place to bash TV celebrities. A lot of members assume that anything goes in this forum, including TV celeb bashing/mocking/etc.

Repeated Topics - Please check the forum before posting the same topics/articles. Even if things are not exactly the same, often times an interview of an actor/actress is split up and many different articles are written based on that. If the content seems generally similar then the threads will be merged so all relevant discussion can be in one place.

Reporting an issue - PLEASE hit the report button if you have an issue; HOWEVER, don't repeatedly report the same thing within seconds. We'll see the issue if it's reported once only and action will be taken AS DEEMED APPROPRIATE. This means that not all action taken will be visible. Sometimes posts are edited, sometimes they're moved to PUS, sometimes they are trashed, and sometimes members are PMed individually or their WL is raised, and sometimes the DT concludes that the report is a non-issue. Therefore, just because you do not see something in the forum does NOT mean that nothing has been done.

Other Social Media Issues: Please leave issues from twitter/other external websites over there. Fights that happen elsewhere should not be dragged onto IF or discussed here. Don't use issues that happen elsewhere/other social media to bash different fans/fan groups here.

WL reduction : Members whose WL was raised - it's up to YOU to PM us about your WL decrease. We will then discuss it with our co-DT and other DT in active forums and only dependent on overall behavior in IF will we possibly decrease your WL. If you do not PM us, we will not be keeping track of the 3 month end period.

Self-bans - please note that self-bans are NOT being given anymore on IF. As such, if you would like to leave IF there is the option to deactivate. HOWEVER, this does not mean that you can come back with a new ID if your account has been deactivated. If you would still like to deactivate, then you can drop any of the DT a PM.

Morphed pictures - Not allowed. A lot of times these pictures are used to take digs at/attack celebrities, and it's all going to come under celebrity bashing . Refrain from posting animal images with the intent to ridicule and bash any member/celebrity. A/S forum rules apply site wide to all creations .

Signature Wars - Your signature boxes are not meant to be places to vent your issues with the forum/different members/fans/fan groups. You will receive a PM from the DT about editing your signature box/avatar if we see that it it offensive/bashing anyone.

Moral Police : If you do not agree with another members perspective, state the reason in a civil manner .Respect others opinion & be tolerant. There is no need to enforce your opinions and beliefs on the rest. Do not preach others what to do. Do not become self appointed moderators. Dev Team is here for a reason.

Counter Posting :Refrain from making counter posts on the forum. If you see a post which you feel you do not agree with or believe to be moral policing/insulting/provoking or abusive, then DO NOT create another topic in retaliation to counter argue the post maker. This only leads to further unrest and more arguments breaking out in the forum. Report such posts & DT will handle them.

Multiple Accounts : Obviously Multiple IDs are not allowed and will result in a direct WL raise. MIDs meant to rile up/bash anyone/create chaos in the forum or MIDs created because of WL restrictions are not allowed at all.

Abusive PMs etc should be forwarded to the DT. Please don't bring these issues to the forum.

Nested Quoting: Please don't quote more than 3 times. It makes the page very slow to load, and if such things are brought to our attention, the DT will edit the post.

Birthday threads -For celebrity birthday threads, please ask for permission no more than 3 months before the birthday. Since there are lots of celebs we won't be sticking any prep threads.

Member related threads - Birthday threads are the only member related threads that will be allowed in the forum. Anything else will be closed.

Reality shows : JDJ/NB/Big Boss etc All general discussion of such shows before the forum is opened can be done in the CC forum. Unless an article is about a specific BW celebrity, there is no reason to be discussing this and other TV celebs in the BW forum.

Issues with the DT : Refrain from opening topics on DT or discussing decisions/warnings issued to a thread. You have concern/query about forum issues kindly contact the section DT about the same. If you have any issues with moderation resolve it through PMs or approach the Global Moderator team.

One point to keep in mind when discussing in this section is that a lot of discussion is based off of rumors, so take everything with a grain of salt and we won't be closing threads simply because they are reported en masse.

In addition to the above mentioned section guidelines, IMP: Please Read - Rules REVISED will also be in effect.
