Biopics are difficult to make: Anurag Basu

A lot had been said and written about Anurag Basu's ambitious Kishore Kumar biopic starring Ranbir Kapoor but of late, there haven't been any updates. While this led to talk of the project being postponed, Anurag confirmed to us that the project is still on and he is in fact, all set to start shooting.
"The project is on, just that biopics are difficult to make. Honestly, I'm getting restless as I have been sitting on the script and it's ready to be shot, since the last two years. Everybody has committed to the film, just that it has not gone on the floors yet. Ranbir Kapoor has committed to playing Kishore, the director is ready to shoot, the family of Kishore Kumar has agreed to the film, the producer is ready. We are just having minor date issues that are being resolved, after which we begin shooting," Anurag told us. As for his other Ranbir starrer, Anurag confirmed the release has been postponed to next year. "The shooting is still on and Jagga Jasoos is releasing next May," he said.
