Ranbir Kapoor's first production venture Jagga Jasoos' has been in news for all the wrong reasons; from Govinda's exit to delay in shooting schedule of the film. And now, apparently the film is facing one more trouble. The movie was supposed to be a full-blown musical with back-to-back conversational songs which would take the narrative forward. But then it was learnt that Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is also making a musical titled Mirziya' where the lead actors would sing their heart out.
So, now director Anurag Basu may re-shoot around 50 percent of the film. A source said, "They are re-doing most of the film. And Ranbir is very very tense. The same thing had happened with Anurag Basu's Barfi' where a lot of re-shooting had happened."
Talking about Govinda's exit, the source said, "He was never very comfortable with the idea of playing Ranbir's dad. But Anurag Basu coaxed him saying it was a 17-year old son's character. But things didn't seem to be what Govinda had been promised. So he quit."
The hunt for an actor to play Ranbir's dad is on. Apparently, no one is ready to do the film, so the makers might opt for Rishi Kapoor.
And the film's delay has also pushed Ranbir and Katrina Kaif's wedding. The source said, "No one would want to watch them romance on screen after they are married in real life, unless the film's release coincides with the couple's marriage, as it happened with Abhishek and Aishwarya during Mani Ratnam's Guru'. But Abhishek-Ash played husband and wife in Guru'. Ranbir and Katrina are young masti-filled love birds in Jagga Jasoos'."
