Is anushka really that bad in DDD?

Came across many reviews calling her the weakest link of the movie

She is not bad at all. But hardly has any screen time to make an impact. The newcomer who played Noorie had more screen time than Anushka and she nailed ner part too. Plus, Anu's role required someone glamarous and sexy which she doesn't come across as. Anyway, she did the best she could with a poorly written role. Not her fault really.

I don't like her acting anyway ...
Unless, until she is playing a loud punjabi character.

Anushka Sharma, playing a dancer but assuredly more comfortable on stage here than during her last debacle, is pretty great here as she concocts heady chemistry with Singh, the two infectiously grinning at each other as they fool around.

Sharma and Singh are smashing together, starting off their courtship hurriedly, with the kind of conversation people used to have on the Internet back in the day " throwing factual stats about their life out onto the table as if playing verbal Uno " but rather than seeming unnatural, it works because they make it seem believable that these two characters urgently want to get really close really fast. Sharma, more world-weary, is at times hesitant, and Singh " playing a leading man, who, refreshingly enough, has achieved nothing and knows nothing about where he's headed " approaches the romance bullishly, in that reckless way we do when we finally know what we want.

Blame Virat for her under performance.

she isnt bad at all, she did justice to whatever given to her., her role isnt meaty enough for a star... she definitely looks pretty in the film, the anorexic body and the cosmetic surgery doesnt show at all..she looks the old anushka...

I don't blame the writing b/c even the supporting characters were really good, especially that Chachi and niececharacter along with Noorie. I don't know but I didn't seem invested in Kabir's love story b/c the story was about the dysfunctional family. But for some reason Farhan left a bigger impact than Anu. She played her fun self, but like others and I have said multiple times--she was suppose to be a dancer yet PC's character was way better in dancing.

To me she did have the character to shine cause she is the one who makes Ranvir to speak up! But her dialogue delivery seemed so bad and I cringed in those scenes! She does speak weird now after her lip job I guess I don't know what happened :|
