I hv seen first part and loved it...in second part also I liked
Kangana Madhavan n all cast, acting...dialogues were superb..
'Fighting and realizing the true love' -- concept is good but I did not get convinced the way story shapes...
It was better if Manu had ended up with haryanvi Kangana...at least she seems matured and knew of what she is going into...n could hv handled well if they had fought in future...
The movie ends up with Tanu-Manu confessing love for each other but what next...THEY DIDN'T EVEN TRY TO SOLVE THE BASIC PROBLEM BETWEEN EACH OTHER...which was their compatibility issue due to their different personalities and Tanu's inability to adjust in London's surroundings...
From their initial session with psychologist, Tanu confesses that she regrets leaving her 'happening' life(social) life in India...complaining about new house n surroundings...weird neighborhood of their old south hall house n new house being so far from city that she sees only 4 pigeons n 3 racoons in whole week...so in short she is feeling lonely...she was used to be with so many ppl around but now not a single one..of couse, not her fault...
On top of that her hubby Manu is very unromantic n shy types...of course she knew before he was like that n it was his shyness n boldness to fight for her that had appealed to her in part-1...so she fell in love with him but now she finds him boring...so it made me feel like she had infatuation with Manu... never love...that attraction is also fading away...It sounded like she just fell in 'love' out of impulse but didn't realize what life she was going into...
Though this part- first 10 min of movie was given a humorous touch which I liked too, this was most imp part of movie. I liked it for its realistic nature n for its deep insightful meaning...it was telling viewers - what exactly was the problem between couple? It was actually a message for us that LOVE is not all about just loving physically but getting along with the goods-and-bads of the person and accepting him/ her for the whole life with his/her goodness and flaws...
Manu's part was still convincing..He was the one who was doing everything to keep tanu happy, he openes children's care for her in London which gets closed bcoz tanu tries to booze the kids...He used to invite his friends n families for tanu to hv ppl around...but tanu hits something in one of their guests' head n they stop coming bcoz of her behaviour...
Later he gets attracted to hariyanvi Kangana bcoz she was look a like which was fine... SOME ARGUE BUT I NEVER FELT HE WAS TRYING TO MAKE TANU JEALOUS BY MARRYING KUSUM...in fact., he proposed her much before tanu came back in his life n even after tanu was back, he genuinely wanted to marry Kusum...of couse tanu's presence disturbed him a lil but till end I never felt he has forgiven tanu and wanted her back...He was happy for having a matured Tanu-look-a-like in his life...
Now after getting back to tanu in the climax, WHAT'S guarantee that she will now behave? bcoz throughout the movie, she has not shown a single sign of maturity...
He did the mistake of thinking attraction for Kusum as love...
I DID NOT LIKE TANU'S CHARACTER AT ALL...ok, she was not able to adjust with London life...not her fault...but what was she doing later was COMPLETELY OUT OF LINE...she sends Manu to mental asylum for 4 days (of course she asks his friend to release him..which proves she cared for him...)...she became smoker n alcoholic--may be out of loneliness...but she WAS TOTALLY HITTING ON THAT RICKAWALA-her childhood friend, THE TENANT IN HOUSE and even on JIMMY SHERGIL...she was desperately seeking to get linked with someone..bcoz may be she was missing romance in her life...she comes in 1-piece revealing short dress in front of punjabi guestsn asks them weird questions...Though all these situations were shot in humorous way, deep down it meant tanu is going through some psychological problem...and SHE IS NOT YET TREATED...
Having said that, I meant no disrespect for the people going through psychological problems. But not getting treated is the problem I want to underline...
and when Tanu realizes love for him...when she got to know that he was getting married to some1...unbelievable and unconvincing .bcoz of the FACT that SHE LOOKED VERY HAPPY n CONTENT in her life flirting with jimmy, that tenant and DID NOT MISS MANU AT ALL.
of course, as a hindi movie they had to had an open ending...they won't show what happens next..whether they go back to London n she continues to be alone n psycho...or they stay back in India n he had to find job n he gets frustrated n become psycho...or some third possibility...
BOTTOM LINE is they didn't even discuss or had any heated convo or any argument what went wrong between them before Manu-Kusum wedding...how can Manu know that Tanu is sane now? what would Tanu do if manu decides to go back London? Will she able to adjust to lonely life?
the climax was just like...ok, the 2 love-sick puppies realized they love each other n had to be together IGNORING THE UNSOLVED PROBLEMS WHICH STILL PERSIST...
note my words---IN NEXT 2 YRS, TWM- part 3 will come where Tanu-Manu has a child who has inherited Tanu's psycho manners... n thats why the couple is seeking divorce for child's custody...bcoz Tanu fears her child will become a boring one like his daddy...n Manu feels the child will become eccentric like his mother...
Later in end, Tanu-Manu= 2 love-sick puppies realize the same love for each other, will get united FORGETTING THE CHILD n DECISION ABOUT HIS FUTURE bcoz of whom they wanted separation in the beginning...totally crap...
Don't get bored of my long analysis...but it is my honest opinion..
