Akshay Kumar and Ajay have zero all time grossers and zero highest grossers of the year. They are definitely superstars but no where near the Khans. Akki only has 2 Blockbusters in his entire career- Rowdy Rathore and Welcome. Ajay Devgan has 3- Golmaal 3, Singham and Rajneeti. It really is a joke to compare those 2 to the Khans.

It would have been praiseworthy had any other so called superstars or newbie challenged khans and their success. In my eyes Its opportunistic and cowardice to claim succession by wishing they soon retire which eventually is going to happen due to their age .

How many people accepted Akshay as the big star and in TOP 2 and stopped mentioning this 3 khan crap ? and Ajay who gave equal Takkar to SRK movie even after getting a raw deal on screens ( both released on same day ) ? Amir was still in top three despite having the movie which Came the LAST and which cldn't beat these four movies , including Kumar's and Devgan's ( ignoring other actor's movies collections who must have scored more Than Talaash)... Akki and Ajay were still out of this top list and Aamir was still there ...WHY?

Because nobody beat Khans' previous best.

Even Aamir was not immediately crowned #1 after setting new records with Ghajini. Only after 3I they accepted change in rankings was due.

Akki and Ajay neither gave constant success nor beat previous records.

The only person who media has been kind to, is SRK. They were refusing to accept Salman as the top star despite MPK/HAHK and other hits.

They didn't give due to Sunny Deol either who had been giving hits from 80s and whose Gadar is ATBB without any publicity.

It is media that clubbed Khans together. What's fault of the public?

Infact the trend of clubbing together has been started by these overrated Kapoors. Only Raj and Prithviraj Kapoor are true super successful guys. Rest are mere also rans. They had no cinematic sense either except for Raj Kapoor. Shammi and Shashi gave mooh kala moments to Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan with rubbish films like Bundal Baaz and Ajooba. Akshaye-Ash had success with Taal but the Kapoors gave them flop Aa Ab Laut Chalen. Poor Rajesh Khanna got mauled again as he was hoping to make comeback as character actor with that film too.

Seeing these guys, not only families but even unrelated types with same surname started being clubbed together by media.

Back to Khans, YRF tried to sabotage Ghajini also but it still broke records. That's why 3 Khans do have an edge over Akki and Ajay.

The fact that to progress everyone has to make a mark or climb upwards using their own talent and passion and of course by side stepping the one above you not by wishing/waiting for other person to move out of the way.

Khans created an empire on their own so its fair that others do the same.

I hope you realise the difference between 1 film alone making 400 crores and 2-3 films together making such money.

There is a difference between ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER and other superhits, blockbusters.

Same as SRK with 2 movies in ATBB ...and Sallu with 2 movies...

ONLY Aamir has 3 movies in top 5 ATBBs...PK, Dhoom 3 and 3 Idiots...so he definitely can be called #1 Superstar...then SRK, HR and Sallu are next in line with 2 movies each.

So why isnt HR also being called superstar instead of calling the 3 Khans the real STARS?😳

I personally agree they are crowd pullers that will get cash register ringing big time. One is 50 & other two are few months away from being 50 but they still manage to get blockbusters.
