Arguably this year's most promising newcomer, Bhumi Pednekar surprised many with her natural performance in Dum Laga Ke Haisha' (2015). Just like Parineeti Chopra, Pednekar too began her career working behind the scenes at Yash Raj Fims until the production house decided to launch her as an actress. However, Pednekar does not agree with comparisons between her and Chopra as actresses.
In an interview with Filmfare, Pednekar said, "Firstly, Parineeti has achieved so much in life. I don't think I'm the next Parineeti. But being compared to her is a big compliment. I hope to make a path for myself. I admire women who have made space for themselves. Madhuri Dixit didn't think I will become the next Madhubala'. Similarly I don't want to become somebody'."
The actress, who claims to be very passionate about her craft, has been making headlines recently for having lost over 20 Kg's post the release of her debut film. She has gone on record to state that she is willing to drop down to a size zero and don a bikini if a role demanded so.
Though Pednekar has not confirmed her next professional move, it is being heard that she will soon feature in a Yash Raj Films' production opposite Arjun Kapoor.
