Superstar Salman Khan today appeared in a Jodhpur court to record his statement in the Arms Act case.
In his statement to the Jodhpur Court on Wednesday, Salman pleaded innocence.
The actor is accused of using an unlicensed weapon to hunt two blackbucks during the shooting of director Sooraj Barjatya's film Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998.
After Salman Khan pleaded innocence in court, he was told by the magistrate to defend himself via his lawyers.
The actor will now present his defense before the court on May 4, but he is not required to be present on the day. His lawyer, Umesh Kalla will do the needful.
The actor took a break from the shooting of Bajrangi Bhaijaan in Kashmir to attend the court hearing in Jodhpur on Wednesday.
The Arms Act case is connected with the Blackbuck poaching case of 1998. The actor is accused of poaching blackbucks, which are protected animals under Wildlife Protection Act.
Salman Khan is also an accused in the 2002 hit-and-run case, the verdict of which will be announced on May 6. If found guilty, he can face a maximum prison term of 10 years.
