Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela:
This Bhansali directorial was supposed to star Ranveer Singh and Kareena in the lead. However, Bebo rejected this film for Karan Johar's production venture Gori Tere Pyaar Mein which tanked at the BO. Eventually Deepika Padukone ended up doing the film for which she earned much acclaim and few awards as well.
Chennai Express:
This is Deepika Padukone's biggest blockbuster till date but things would have been different if Kareena had done this film. Yes, Shah Rukh Khan was to star with his RA.One heroine in Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express but things didn't work out and again the film finally went to Ms Padukone.
Queen:
Believe it or not but Kangana Ranaut wasn't the first choice for Queen. It was Kareena Kapoor Khan. Yes, Vikas Bahl's directorial venture would have had Bebo in the lead if things had fallen into place. Now I know that Saifu's wife doesn't regret rejecting any of the films but this one sure must have hurt now that Ms Ranaut has won the National Award for her performance in Queen.
Dil Dhadakne Do:
Though DDD is yet to hit the screens, the trailer of this Zoya Akhtar directorial was released couple of days back and it received great response from the masses. Dil Dhadakne Do which is being touted as one of the biggest releases of this year was also offered to Kareena Kapoor but she turned down this one as she didn't want to shoot on a cruise for three months straight.
Durga Rani Singh:
Another film which Bebo said no to was Sujoy Ghosh's Durga Rani Singh. Ghosh had initially approached his Kahaani actress Vidya Balan for the film but she couldn't do it so he offered it to Kangana and then Kareena as well. Had the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actress accepted the project, it would be have been interesting to see her in Sujoy Ghosh film. After all, he is one of the best filmmakers in Bollywood today. Also, the buzz would have been immense around this flick as Ghosh's last film Kahaani was a super hit and it also earned Vidya a National Award.
