I honestly think they go overboard with that too. I don't think he's as ugly as they make him out to be. Unmemorable and boring on-screen, but not exactly unattractive.

There's a special viciousness that's directed at Rani though which even Arjun never receives. She may be a deeply unpleasant person in real life but most Bollywood actors and actresses aren't saints and she gets it worse than most others do.

People can be attractive at different ages. Waheeda Rahman is a gorgeous woman who's probably over 70 years old now. Rani is still a pretty woman, just an older pretty woman.

If you notice the photos a lot of people post to "prove" that Rani's ugly, you'd see that those are the photos where she's looking a lot darker than her usual photos. There are definitely some unexamined issues there for sure - we have a f**ked up relationship with skin colour anyway.
