Very tough poll, but Madhuri by a very slight edge. I used to look forward to watching her dance in her films so part of my vote is also nostalgia. And Que Sera Sera is one of my favorites. I think she did amazing in it. Having said that, when I watch her dance these days whether it's a stage performance or that Ghagra song I feel like something is missing there. It's like she's lost that oomph or charm.

Last time I saw Aishwarya dance was that Flamingo number she did on stage for Femina awards I think. She wasn't even in her best shape as it was after Aaradhya, but she was amazing. So she still has it 😉

As for Kat, ehh. I didn't think either Kamli or Ishq Shava were all that. In fact both of then were more acrobatic than dance. In Kamli I'm not even sure if all of that was Kat or a body double was used in parts. She's no where near these two ladies and probably never will be.

Madhuri all the way.

She can perform complicated acts live on stage while others don't dare to even think of that as it will show their actual dancing ability. After every dance performance of Mads all I want to do is stand up and 👏

Madhuri. There is no other actress I saw who could match her in dancing with grace and skills both. Aishwarya is overrated as a dancer she is good not great. Madhuri is of the level of Hema and Vyjantimala.

Aish. Madhuri is graceful no doubt about that. But IMO there isnt much versality compared to Aish. She is good at classical and traditional Bollywood songs but not at western and other genres.

madhuri, aish and I'll include sridevi are all wonderful dancers

and I miss the classically trained dancers

aishwarya as she progressed has been beautiful in all her songs, kajra re, the guru songs etc , she was amazing in taal, in hddcs, devdaas

just amazing beautiful, but madhuri just seems to have had more emotions, joy in her songs.

in dola re dola, some places ash's smile seemed so forced, but she was amazing with her dance steps, and she had much faster and more complicated choreography than madhuri in the song.

it's hard to choose between the two, but I would pick madhuri

for all the songs and footage that ash had in devdas, my favorite dancing in the movie is not even dola re dola re but the few moments of madhuri twirling in chalak chalak

and western, tamma tamma loge from thanedaar is pretty good along with que sera sera, in thanedaar, she even made sanjay dutt look good.

and to include sridevi, her lamhe dances are just too beautiful as is mere hathon me nau nau chodiyan.

Dancing is not about shaking vigorously having absolutely no expressions at all. Kat can only do one thing : that is shake like a washing machine drum. Though she has got better , whatever she does is far from DANCE.. Kamli( also not the forget the body doubles they used here), SKJ looked like aerobics with just no grace or expressions.

half of kamli is not even katrina,

katrina learned belly dancing at some point and most of her dances are just moving her hips

other than ishq shave and the ek tha tiger song, there hasn't even been a katrina dance really

sheila was more the picturization and just very catchy song, as was chikni chameli, very catchy song

she was excellent in both but there really is not much dancing in there.

Fair poll for a change..great

I think these two are the best BW dancers i have seen (I didn't watch Sri or that era of BW)
That been said Madz simply kills Aish with expressions...her face dances with her body literally.
The woman knows what she's doing..
