attention seekers are the ones calling the media, circulating their own pictures and then complaining about the media attention, while trying to be in the limelight without any merit or talent.

using your celebrity to bring attention to important topics is not what is meant by the phrase "attention seeking".

Attention seekers are the ones that call the media when they're going to and landing from flights. Or leaving someone's house 3 in the morning. Or getting gossipy bytes to tarnish the competition's image.

Speaking out about depression, rape, assault, abuse, etc takes guts and courage. Attention-seekers don't typically talk about things like that. Just my opinion.

I love how every 3rd person who wants to share something in the hopes that it might just help others is doing it to seek publicity. Like there are human beings with geniune intentions.

What's with all the imposing and moral policing. Kalki stated she let someone have sex with her at the age of 9. One group assumes sexual abuse by an "adult", while other is assuming sex with someone her age. Both views are based on assumptions for she didn't mention the specifics. So how does one assumption become "right" while the other "wrong" when everyone is playing assumptions assumptions ?

People need to grow up from all the idealistic preaching and speeches and let others have the room to breathe. Live and let live. It's a discussion forum not your dictatorship ground. If one wants to assume she wasn't a victim, cuz of the lack of evidence, so be it until there is something concrete to argue on. Sitting on the high horse and making others look like villains especially when even your argument is based on an assumption sounds nothing but bratty.

And if Indian culture is about modesty, so be it. What's with people trying to revamp the culture. Every culture is different with it's own boundaries and unique touch. If every culture starts blindly aping others, we might as well say goobye to diversity. Again live and let live than shoving your dirty hand down others' throats.

I am sorry, I do not think there is anything ambiguous about abuse when it comes to pre pubescent children. There is no way a nine year old is capable of making such a decision like a sound adult. The adult in such cases is a rapist. There is no ifs or buts about it at all.

I fail to see a grey area in child sex abuse.

Do you even read whole posts or just pounce?

Grey area is that she did not tell if she had sex with an adult or a fellow minor.

She said she allowed someone to have sex with her. That someone could be anyone.

How do you know it was an adult only?

It might have been mistake of two minors also, who didn't think whether they were mature enough for consent to this activity or not.

Her interview is not making definite statement. That's what some members said.

9 year old is not capable of making sound decision. But is capable of being curious, confused or making a mistake, with another minor.

In the interviews I read (like a year ago) Kalki has always stated it was an adult who initiated sex with her. Could you please cite the interview where she didn't indicate an adult aggressor?

I have not followed all her interviews.

Everyone has not been reading her IVs from years.

So just because you know more, don't expect others to know either.
