There are many sexist stereotypes that work against men too. Those perceptions need to be fought against too.
Empowering women does not mean taking rights away from men.
But people against female empowerment sound like white people who thought giving black citizens the right to vote will somehow diminish the constitutional rights of white people and the heterosexual people who think marriage rights for LGBT people will somehow destroy their own marriage.
These r not stereotypes, this is ground reality that a boy and a girl face in real India ... and for other reasons in real world.
If empowering means "My choice.. sex outside marriage, U r snowflak".. Who they they talking abt? An alien?
That's ur US. India as young democracy is far advanced than any... esp. considering such a huge population and huge religious sentiments and centuries old civilisation. Just in 1947, we go Indepence, our economy was one of the poorest.. not even in top 100. Partition, massacres, mass migration in all 3 directions, the numbers alone can overwhelm U. Now we r in top 10and climbing. Women r HUGE part of the success.
India declared herself "Secular democracy" and then in 1950's constitution.. "Republic of India". We welcomed our brother and sisters from across the border with open arms... what happened to those who went to pak or BD is a diff. story. Srk will vouch for it. Dilip aka Yusuf will vouch for it.
Its just u braught US here.. it took them 600 years for to elect a black president. So much for a mighty bully which has ruined god knows how many countries. Dont even ask what their bombs did to those innocent men, women, children and their animals.
India's democracy is open book... and that's why some foreign idiots think they can tarnish it. Do so.. but ppl with all over the world wud love to come to India.. for any or many reasons. India dont really need to advertise "Incredible India" ... but well, thats good.
Back to the topic.. Its huge problem in western world abt a "runaway" teenage girls.. gang rapes that dont get reported althou captured on cellphones.. rape drugs, girls trying to be equal as the guys to "drink and party and taking cloths off and dance".. and then the consequences.. teenage preganancy, 15 years old dont even know whoz the father.. almost naked drunk pissed teenage girl asking taxi driver.. i dont have have money, u can sex with me but drop me at my place.. A step father or fathers sexually abusing their daughters, mom n teenage daughter sharing the same bed with man whoz provider, the list goes on..
The irony is.. the above mentioned cases r from educated civil developed rich countries.. Therez not so-called "majboori" here... its almost abt their choices. But hey they r heaven, and India is hell. What do we know, we i r ignorant fools.
And the less talk abt US's gun culture is better.
