Each human has done negative things in life...doesn't mean they can't do anything positive. And to think her depression is fake, that's just so plain disgusting. But as the trend continues to go, #yourchoice.

She can.. but she has to do the positive. hello, We r talking abt her latest "positive" My choice.

Deepika wrecked both causes of mental health and woman empowerment with this poorly scripted video.

Smug Bolly gang still thinks they made a masterpiece.

But refuse to open eyes on responses and after effects.

Many related her depression to #MyChoice type lifestyle. Some (including academics) called depression a result of such choices, others stereotyped such choices as those of depressed people. It fostered stereotypes on mental health.

You know you have failed as a communicator and know nothing about audience if your message is such an epic fail and worsens issues than solving them.

Thanks to this video, first time apparently biased laws are also being discussed. Adultery law, filing rape case after premarital sex (you can do so because sex on pretext of marriage is considered rape by Indian law, so some girls do it willingly but cry rape if boy doesn't agree to marry), difficulty in getting paternity test, no punishment for woman if she files fake case etc.
MRA sites are jubilant and are giving MRA of the year title to her, because this video did what no MRA was able to do all these years.

This was a BLOW to both causes, especially those of women with its stupid wording.

And these filmi loons are being bashed for what they churn out and promote. Yet they think they did something great.

Choice word itself has become a joke now.

No way am I going to blame the public only. Women's empowerment was a cause that was the most important social issue in India of late along with religious freedom. Mostly people accept any discourse on this issue and even those who didn't take it seriously earlier, felt compelled to make it a priority. But this video proved to be detrimental. Like a ditch or speed breaker of sorts.

But this woman, Vogue and their supporters can keep deluding themselves into thinking they did something great and keep giving themselves a pat on the back.
🤢

Keep barking that anyone who criticised the video has no opinion of his own or is just a troll or hater. Whereas in reality even Indian feminists are having trouble thanks to this video and have trashed it.

Women empowerment = minus

DP's PR = plus and minus= 0

Men's rights= plus 1.

Here we go cutiepie rani.. Dpad just did something positive.

There are many sexist stereotypes that work against men too. Those perceptions need to be fought against too.

Empowering women does not mean taking rights away from men.

But people against female empowerment sound like white people who thought giving black citizens the right to vote will somehow diminish the constitutional rights of white people and the heterosexual people who think marriage rights for LGBT people will somehow destroy their own marriage.

These r not stereotypes, this is ground reality that a boy and a girl face in real India ... and for other reasons in real world.

If empowering means "My choice.. sex outside marriage, U r snowflak".. Who they they talking abt? An alien?

That's ur US. India as young democracy is far advanced than any... esp. considering such a huge population and huge religious sentiments and centuries old civilisation. Just in 1947, we go Indepence, our economy was one of the poorest.. not even in top 100. Partition, massacres, mass migration in all 3 directions, the numbers alone can overwhelm U. Now we r in top 10and climbing. Women r HUGE part of the success.

India declared herself "Secular democracy" and then in 1950's constitution.. "Republic of India". We welcomed our brother and sisters from across the border with open arms... what happened to those who went to pak or BD is a diff. story. Srk will vouch for it. Dilip aka Yusuf will vouch for it.

Its just u braught US here.. it took them 600 years for to elect a black president. So much for a mighty bully which has ruined god knows how many countries. Dont even ask what their bombs did to those innocent men, women, children and their animals.

India's democracy is open book... and that's why some foreign idiots think they can tarnish it. Do so.. but ppl with all over the world wud love to come to India.. for any or many reasons. India dont really need to advertise "Incredible India" ... but well, thats good.

Back to the topic.. Its huge problem in western world abt a "runaway" teenage girls.. gang rapes that dont get reported althou captured on cellphones.. rape drugs, girls trying to be equal as the guys to "drink and party and taking cloths off and dance".. and then the consequences.. teenage preganancy, 15 years old dont even know whoz the father.. almost naked drunk pissed teenage girl asking taxi driver.. i dont have have money, u can sex with me but drop me at my place.. A step father or fathers sexually abusing their daughters, mom n teenage daughter sharing the same bed with man whoz provider, the list goes on..

The irony is.. the above mentioned cases r from educated civil developed rich countries.. Therez not so-called "majboori" here... its almost abt their choices. But hey they r heaven, and India is hell. What do we know, we i r ignorant fools.

And the less talk abt US's gun culture is better.

I know right. It's good to have someone who is well aware of the news and surrounding than the likes of MyChoice who keep spewing shit in the name of women empowerment without having a slightest inclination of India...

Precisely. I've no idea Sy, why Sush's affairs need to be highlighted. It was #Her Choice, and she makes no bloody bones about it!!! In a hypocritical country, and an extremely hypocritical industry, she's the only one who lives & loves exactly the way she wants to. That is lovely to see.👏

Huh?

Isn't she the one who said dating is not in our culture on KWK?

Or talked about values of family and marriage instilled in her by her parents?

She is as much a part of this hypocritical country and even more hypocritical industry.

Some NRIs think I have no work which is why I follow news, or I live a luxurious life which is why I don't buy the argument that India is worst place for women or I live in fairytale world or have superhuman strength (that I talk of control over lust) or I am just a Kat fan. 😆

I feel tempted to say something to these NRIs and their countries...wonder what kind of lives people lead there. Whatever! Guess Purab Aur Pashcim, Namaste London and Pardes did not entirely stereotype other countries and people living there. 😉
