NH10 sequel, NH12, in the making?

Co-producer Madhu Mantena of Phantom Films has confirmed that the makers of crime thriller NH10 are ready to roll out with the sequel for the film which is running successfully in theatres. The Navdeep Singh directorial has gained such overwhelmingly positive reviews that the producers made a collective decision to convert it into a franchise.

Said Mantena, "We're very pleased with the response that this film has generated and are ready to take it forward. The tentative title is NH12 and it will be the second in a series of road-films that Phantom intends to make in the next few years."

However, it is yet too early to confirm whether co-producer and leading lady Anushka and director Navdeep will be returning for NH12. "We've finalised the deal with Eros just yesterday and our yet to finalise the talent. We should have clarity in the coming months."

"The idea is to make a franchisee out of road films, a genre that's under-utilised in Bollywood, but one that has a lot of potential. NH12 will explore another dark theme," Madhu added. NH12 is the highway connecting Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh to Jaipur, Rajasthan that is notorious for bootlegging. It is highly probable that the film will explore this issue.
