Katrina Kaif is looking forward to an eventful year on screen, while trying to see the bright side of being gossiped about

She had only one release last year, Bang Bang, which turned out to be a super hit. This year Katrina Kaif is going to more than make up for her absence on screen with not one, but three film releases. The line-up is impressive " Fitoor, Phantom and Jagga Jasoos. Katrina is excited about the mixed set of genres she's getting to be a part of. A chance to impress both the audience and the critics is how she sees it. "Phantom releases end of August 2015 and Jagga Jasoos will arrive end of November. They belong to very different genres but both have great stories to tell. This is surely an exciting year for me," says the actress.

Films are not the only aspect that keeps her in the news. In fact, her personal life, her relationship with beau Ranbir Kapoor, is way more talked about and speculated upon. Kat admits that the stories that keep circulating do rattle her at times but she tries to take it in her stride. She's also candid enough to say that people not talking about her would make her feel insecure.

"It's a circle actually. There is a lot of unwarranted attention when you are famous but I guess when people start ignoring you, it could lead to a lot of insecurity. Sometimes, when gossip about my personal life gets a bit too intrusive, I do react and take a stand but more often than not, I choose to ignore and let it pass."

She also takes pride in the fact that unlike some of her contemporaries she hasn't indulged in cheap publicity tactics. "It is something that annoys me about some celebrities. I would never unnecessarily indulge in any kind of attention seeking tactic," Katrina adds.

And if she had a chance to live the life of another celebrity for a day, who would that be, we ask her. Surprisingly, she doesn't name a film personality. "I would like to be Condoleezza Rice (the former US Secretary of State under the Bush administration). She makes what she does look so simple, when it is absolutely the opposite," she says.

Katrina also may look like a million dollars on screen and off it, but this actress reveals that she doesn't like to shop at all. She never does it unless it is absolutely necessary. The actress confesses that she depends on her team for fashion advice. "I don't really enjoy shopping. I pick up essentials that is clothes, beauty products, perfumes etc as and when I need them and not for the sake of compulsively buying something. And if I am shopping for a specific purpose, such as for a particular look in a film, then I will definitely ask the director and the stylist for their inputs. But otherwise I really don't indulge in it," the actress says.

When quizzed about the co-stars and directors, that she wishes to work with in the future, Katrina chooses to go politically correct but adds that her feelings are genuine. She says, "I don't think there's any director I have worked with whom I would not want to work with again and honestly, it is the same with actors. It may sound diplomatic when you put it that way but that is the absolute truth."

And since her profession gives her the opportunity to travel all over the globe, Kat confesses that she is often tempted to stay back at some of the gorgeous places that her shoots take her to. Sharing her favourites among the lot the actress says, "I am really fortunate to have actually travelled extensively for film shoots and to have seen some really beautiful parts of the world. There are way too many favorites but I think my top three would be Istanbul for Ek Tha Tiger, Spain for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Santorini in Greece for Bang Bang. All these places had a lot of character and the people there were really warm and welcoming."
