It was a horribly written piece. There is plenty of flashywriting style but where is the substance in that article?

What does the fact that he made Lagaan or in his movies he likes to have a shot of him staring off contemplatively into the distance have to do with the Roast? Nothing.

Once you boil that article down, they are trying to negate Aamir's entire career for his speaking out on his opinion about the roast. That is plain stupid as a premise for an article however catchy or attention-grabbing a headline they give it.

Isn't Aamir khan the one who produced Delhi Belhi? The film also caters to the same audience as that of AIB roast. It also generated quite a controversy for the same reason i.e, use of filthy, vulgar language, obscenity etc etc. That time he stood by his product citing all sorts of creative freedom rights but when it came to others, he had totally different things to say. Come on when Aamir khan makes horny expressions and utter lines like "Shake your biscuits baby"- that's high label creativity and fun.. And when these young stars do something equally sheepish, he will be the first one to raise voice against them.

I am not defending AIB, I have not seen the videos but going by reactions it must have been very offensive and distasteful, but it was an event only for selective audience, it wasn't broadcast on TV at prime time for the family audience to see, unlike promos of Aamir khan films which were there on every tv channels 24*7.

He was not wrong in voicing his opinion, but his opinion surely shows what a pretentious prick he indeed is. The writer seems to have extreme dislike for Aamir, which is evident from the article, but his criticism does make quite sense to me.

Most of the time I am a harsh critic of society and politics in the United States, because lets face it we have several issues. After all Jefferson did say "dissent is the highest form of patriotism".
