Deepika Padukone becomes first Bollywood star to endorse Nike

Deepika Padukone may be all glamour and fashion when she's not on the screen but many forget that she comes from a sports background. Interestingly, she has become the first Bollywood star to be signed as Nike's brand ambassador.

Nike are known more for hiring leading sportspeople for their campaigns. However, this time, they think that Padukone will provide them with a unique connection to the youth and also through a Bollywood aspect which is a win-win. A broad survey was done before the decision was made.

She is apparently going to be fronting the brand's Cricket World Cup campaign.
