It isn't a lesser known fact that actress Kangana Ranaut always wanted to share screen space with actor Aamir Khan. In fact, Aamir too had gone out of his way to praise Kangana's performance in Vikas Bahl's Queen. And possibly taking a cue from there, rumour mills were recently abuzz with reports of Kangana agreeing to play Aamir's daughter in Nitesh Tiwari's Dangal. However, we have news which would possibly upset fans who were looking forward to seeing the two actors together in a film. While, Aamir will portray the role of wrestler Mahavir Phogat in the movie, reportedly Kangana was approached to play his daughter in the film, Geeta Phogat. Geeta is a renowned female wrestler, who has won several accolades, which includes a gold medal at 2010 Commonwealth Games and gold again in the Wrestling FILA Asian Olympic Qualification Tournament. When we contacted Kangana seeking a confirmation on whether she has been approached for the coveted role, she refuted the rumours saying, "No, not true at all." We further inquired whether she would want to do the film if offered; however we haven't received any information on that as yet. Dangal was recently in news when Aamir's look for the film was revealed. The actor has been sporting cropped hair. It seems like he is also beefing up for the role; and rightly so, as he is playing a wrestler in the film. While Dangal is out of question for Kangana now, the actress is currently busy working on her forthcoming film which is a sequel to her 2011 hit film Tanu Weds Manu.
Reportedly, there were other speculations that Kangana, who has finished her script writing course from New York, is all set to direct her maiden film. Apparently, she has finished working on the script and will soon make an official announcement. However, when we asked Kangana about the same, she denied the news saying there is no truth to that news.
