I am a huge Aamir Khan fan, I am Khan Singh Tomar!.

But in this case, aamir acted as a hypocrite and i already gave my opinion on this thread. He shouldn't have bragged about scolding KJo n Arjun and bashed AIB in public....you don't trash your friends and a profession related to yours in public when enemies are trashing them. NONO

Expect noone from the industry to come in defense of Aamir khan in future in similar cases. The guy lost support due to his immature and premature comments.

He i presume has already realized his mistake and gone into hiding. Next interview he will clarify what he didn't mean but what he actually meant.

I am just saying Aamir had every right to tell his friends in private, he has no right to bash them and brag it in public.

You missed the point KST , Russel has every right to disagree with Amir , but thats not to say that he reserves the right to abuse/disrespect a person on public platform for having an opinion ..

There is a difference between making comments on individual personalities and making comments on a country as a whole. It should not be too hard to understand that. 😕

I don't have an agenda . I swear . I'm just supporter of comedy .

He just said ''mind your own business''... how is that abuse and disrespect... it's no abuse word... i say to my friends all the time- stfu.

Do you even realize that Aamir has named his dog 'sarook' ?😲
This is not even a one time incidence. it's the reality which will be there till the dog dies and that's the worst way to disrespect your colleagues and friends...
#NOARGUEMENTS😊 so it sounded phoney to me when he bashed AIB guys😆...
damn, he is the same guy who spitted on juhi chawala hands just for fun and they were not on talking terms for decade...
Aamir is one of them, my friend... he doesn't need to act like he is not one!

According to Russel , Amir is a nobody & he should shut up & not have an opinion ... now if Amir's friends says such things to him in good humor , it doesnt qualify as 'malicious' ..but change the context to Russel , and you have your answer ..

Amir's ways of disrespecting is another matter & i hope he was bashed for that .. he was being an absolute ass .. you see now , i used harsh words for Amir , but i used it here on this forum where every celebrity is put through harsh criticism & demeaning words .. its the context .. just like AIB is not supposed to be offensive , harsh opinions on celebrities in this forum are excused as well , thats how this forum functions .. but if i am a famous person myself passing an opinion on another's opinion , the context & the rules changes ...

P.S.. I too thought Amir was being a mild hypocrite but Russel was being an inexcusable ass ..

Depends - do you agree with Russell Peter's definition of comedy .i.e. "honest opinion" .. come to think of it , its very easy to hide under the disguise of a 'joke' , isnt it ?.. 😆.. its ok to have an opinion Franco & an honest one at that .. 😆.. and no i dont suspect you have an insidious agenda per se , you are too innocent (naive) to have one ( i mean it in a good way ) 😊

1. Amir expresses an opinion , Russel asks him to shut the f**k up ! ..how dare Amir !
2. People ask Russel to shut f**k up , you ask people to shut the f**k up .. how dare they !

OR

1. Amir expresses an opinion , Russel asks him to shut the f**k uo ! ..how dare Amir !
2. You support Russel , people ask you to shut the f**k up ..how dare you !

-------------------------

Now thats one way of arguing , another way of arguing is where you pay heed to the 'context' .. Amir may or may not have been a hypocrite while calling the show 'violent' , thats his opinion & he is entitled to have one, Amir's hypocrisy is of-course open for debate .. Russel on the other hand , was being plain rude/disrespectful since his comments were part of an interview & not some roast event or any other comedy event ( not that it makes that much of a difference in Russel's case since according to him comedians use/abuse their privilege to be honest & express their opinions , which automatically paves way for another debate - whether jokes ought to be taken seriously or not ?..if jokes are just meant to be funny, they can be excused due to the context of "just being funny & not offensive" but it seems Russel uses it to express his 'honesty' which automatically makes him all sorts of bigot depending on every bigot joke he has ever cracked, if any).. the context of Russel's comments makes his intentions questionable & his statements self-contradictory..

If freedom of speech continues to be taken for granted irrespective of context , there won't be any right or wrong left to make head or tail out of a predicament ..arguments which are completely independent of context are hard to process, but of course , you can still continue to ignore the context & go on a never ending rant about absurd absolute freedom of speech in which case no matter what argument you present , you automatically empower your opponent to hit back with the same absurd logic..

You seem a bit confused. People here think that Russell is inhibiting Aamir's right to his opinion, which he didn't, as if he's trying to snatch Aamir's entitlement to his opinions. The only way to stop someone's freedom to express themselves is if you legally or forcefully try to shut them up through physical means, simply saying shut up to someone doesn't limit their freedom to speech. It was rude, I agree, but then is he allowed to say it?, does he have the freedom to be rude and offensive?, that's independent of our sensibilities, I believe everyone does.

Ofcourse, people are perfectly entitled to criticise him for being rude, and the freedom to ridicule, but the charge that he somehow is trying to shut Aamir down is simply not true.

I don't think serving steaming cups of STFU is violation of free speech or insulting in any way. It is actually quite the norm in media and entertainment.

Aamir Khan has every right to criticize AIB. At the same time though, he needs to realize that he comes off a hypocritical and his definition of violent is warped.

Someone confused Russel Brand and Russel Peters earlier. I wish it was Russel Brand. Never thought I'd like him, but despite his loud, obnoxious, in your face ways - he surprisingly is very eloquent and intellectually witty at times.

I think both offence - physical as well as verbal have their rightful place ..

As far as my understanding is concerned , people here are scoffing at Russel's idiosyncrasy where he is going on & on about " honest opinion" & "intolerance for honest opinions" ( i find his refernce to jokes as "honest opinions" a bit disturbing but that's another matter ) when he himself is so intolerant towards honest opinions .. i dont think anybody here believed that Russel is actually choking Amir but was he bashing Amir ?.. yes absolutely .. was Russell contradicting himself ?.. again Y-E-S ! .. and is Russel being criticized for that ?.. yes thats what we are doing or at least thats what i am doing..😆

EDIT : Just the words "STFU or Who are you ?" are not abuses by any stretch of the imagination if you take it out of context .. friends say to each other all the all the f**king time ..people say it to each other all the all the f**king time .. but the context of Russell's comments is what makes it disrespectful..

I am for freedom of speech . So I think they all can make comments . But to me Aamir sounds stupid cause he did not watch the show and he went on this 8 minute endless rant 😆😆😆 . I atleast watch the first few minutes of Kangana Raunat movies before I turn them off and start ripping on them 😆😆😆.

Thank you I am very innocent especially when I goto my neighbors mail 😆😆😆

Yes, but by the same token, when Aamir lectured his colleagues about "responsibility", he himself came across as hypocritical given all the controversies he's been involved in with his films, and was deservedly attacked for it.

I dunno, it seems like everyone's just going round and round in circles. 😆
