I don't understand why people are upset at him. He's being honest.

There are many of us who don't know what love really is all about. Or what we want in life. That doesn't mean we do not deserve to be in relationships or don't care for people.

At least he is being straightforward about it. Instead of pretending, lying or in love with the idea of love.

He will get hate no matter what he says when it's something that relates to his personal life because of all the public mess he has been in. What you are saying is true and in fact I think a lot of people go through some process of making peace with the idea of love or what it does/doesn't mean to them in their 20-40s. But people (justifiably so) won't let Ranbir get away with any such statement or even its opposite (that he's understood or is experiencing true love) simply because they don't trust him and have a lot of reason to believe that he's not honest and/or deserving of understanding.

He should avoid talking about his personal issues in the press (he has massive problems due to his parents' marriage which seem almost insolvable) but I don't think he cares or can get any worse backlash than he's gotten in the past...so none of it really matters.
