Ranveer barely exchanges pleasantries with crew, not even with Deepika

If we don't see Ranveer Singh going on a signing spree in 2015 it isn't because his last film Kill Dill underperformed at the boxoffice. Ranveer is not looking at any other film until his current assignment is completed. At the moment his entire focus is on getting the historical character right in every detail. Says a source from film's core team, "It's not just about shaving his head. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has made Ranveer get under the skin of the character. And that includes mastering the nuances of the Marathi language as spoken in the 17th century Maharashtra."

According to the source Ranveer, who is a Punjabi and has lived in Mumbai all his life, knows Marathi. "But the Marathi spoken in the 17th century is very different from contemporary Marathi. Ranveer is unlearning the modern Marathi dialect to learn the pure form of Marathi spoken in that era," says the source.

Apparently the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is bowled over by Ranveer's command over his character's personality and speech. "There are lengthy monologues, which Ranveer manages without faltering.The actor's level of dedication is exemplary. Between shots, Ranveer doesn't allow any distraction. The masti-khor exhibitionistic that he is known to be, is not on display on the sets of Bajirao Mastani. Ranveer remains uncharacteristically quiet and erupts only when facing the camera. He barely exchanges pleasantries with the cast and crew, not even with Deepika," says the source from the unit.

That is becoz some very important and major films are waiting for my ranveer.Hopefully something good he is yet to sign .I dont want him to pick garbage like GUNDAY AND KD .

Ranveer is like male version of Priyanka chopra . Banda risk lene ki himmat tohh karta hai .I respect for his decision doing BM .This film is very very imp. for his career.I hope it does well BO wise .All depends on Mr. SLB tho whom i dont trust very much ...

well it can be expected that it will do better than ramleela, which was a mediocre film made good by acting
this is slb's dream work,
ranveer is more famous now than ramleela time
we have an extra huge superstar actress Priyanka..
so i think it will be a hit

if rohit shetty movie comes in 2015 and fan goes to 2016, there is only one other competition for filmfare-- ranbir for bombai velvet..
given the fact that ranbir's character in BV (1950 role) is much easier than ranveer's character (18th century maratha speaking character) and filmfare's tendency to award those who havent received one, very high chances for Ranveer
